  1. Indeed. While controlling the model, you do everything for it (flip for attack, cheat fate, activate triggers, flip for damage, cheat fate, etc.).
  2. I find that the and modifiers are the hardest things for new players to grasp; and even now I sometimes still forget to check for them all myself (charging bonus, combat total beats Df by whatever, hard to wound model, modifier on a weapon, etc.), as sometimes there are LOT of modifiers to a damage flip!!
  3. You should come over to the Outcasts board and ask for Leveticus tips - generally speaking I've no trouble killing anything with Leveticus (including Perdita if you can draw a bead on her and drain her of stones).
  4. I'm a bit confused here. Are you saying that you're making the switch from a Leveticus crew to a Perdita crew and you're having trouble adapting to her different playstyle? If that's the case, I don't think it's a case of buying different models or building a new crew, but maybe some Perdita players could give you some advice for the most efficient way to use her and her family.
  5. Depends on whether you're all "no chit-chat just game!!" or adopt a more relaxed atmosphere. Typically, I'd say 30SS takes a couple of hours, sometimes more sometimes less, and this is with chit-chatting about stuff during the game (and stopping for drinks/toilet breaks/etc).
  6. Awesome, well that makes everything a lot simpler; altho I was happy enough to play it how I was before - this is obviously better. @Tiny: You can actually attack any model you like at any time providing it meets the targeting requirements (LOS, range, etc.). I've been routinely shooting Leveticus in the head with Rusty Alyce recently because I keep messing up his activations - for instance.
  7. Yup, and since a lot of the Gremlin Crew's abilities involve killing each other (Larvae, Bacon!, etc.) it doesn't feel out of place. You summon a Gremlin with Git Yer Bro, then give it a prod with the pig-sticker to kill it - triggers Come and Get It and Survival of the Fittest - altho I'm not sure in which order!? I'm guessing you discard two cards for Come and Get It first and then gain two afterwards for Survival of the Fittest.
  8. Scrap Thralls. Neeeed the official models tho. Come on Wyrd!! (... oh and Hollowed Waifs!)
  9. If you detune a modern television, pull the plug out of your cable receiver or don't have an input connected to a screen or projector then the words "no signal" are usually what you'll see displayed. For me, it implies a disconnection from something... rather like the relationship between myself and society (I just "don't get" most people, and don't feel much connection with the majority of the people that I meet). The zero in there rather than an 'O' usually ensures I can have it in most forums/message boards and you'll find me under this name on the Privateer Press boards, Infinity forum, Fantasy Flight, Spartan Games, etc. I'm everywhere. Like a disease.
  10. Restore Natural Order is powerful but... 1.) The threat range of 4x Abominations turning into Desolation Engine is larger than her 12" pulse, so if you're worried about your SPA's getting nuked them just pop the Engine out ASAP. 2.) It just does Wd's to things, therefore kills them, therefore they drop scrap counters. Levi and Alyce can just get the Abominations up and running again in no time! 3.) If Justice is using an (all) action to nuke everything, she's not doing anything else, like moving to tie Leveticus up. As you say, it's killing the Waifs that is the dangerous thing, but then she'll have to be on top of Leveticus to do that as usually my Waifs are up to 10" behind me. Beings near to Leveticus for any master is usually a bad idea.
  11. I ran a "pure" Leveticus list last night @ 25SS (Levi, Alyce and 4x Abominations) and it was surprisingly effective. The Abominations can move frighteningly fast when they're all keeping pace with each other; I used three to drag them all 12" on the first turn, and then used Concentrated Deformation to bring forth the Desolation Engine, who then charged for another 8" (had full AP from the Abomination that hadn't activated)!! What I forgot to do tho was put Blessings of Desolation and Burn Out on one or two Abominations before I turned them all into the Desolation Engine, which I'll try to remember in the future. The Engine died at the start of the next turn and pooped a couple of Abominations back out. I then spent the rest of the game recycling the Abominations (they kept getting killed and turning to scrap) and trying to make more using Necrotic Unmaking. I think I got three on the board, dangerously close to getting the Engine back, before Lady Justice used Restore Natural Order to kill all but one of them; the following turn she used her ability to sacrifice corpse and scrap counters to clear all the counters off the board for good - dashing my dreams of seeing the Engine once more *shakes fist*.
  12. ...or Zoraida if you wanna use your Gremlins and Pigs. (Albeit at an inflated price *gulp*)
  13. Brilliant stuff here man! Your painting style makes everything look like it leapt out of a graphic novel - which is awesome!!
  14. I would consider your OSL to be a success, it looks great!! My only criticism would be your Electrical Creation, which looks like an evil cabbage. heh. But you say it's still a WIP really, so I'd say work on making it look more electrical. Otherwise, it all looks real good!
  15. LOL. I like all the little easter eggs in Wyrd minis. Inside my Warpig was scrawled "pork chop express" and "squeel like a pig"; you can't even see it now because it's inside the model, but it made me laugh when I was assembling it.
  16. If a new edition rulebook does come out at any time in the far future, can we pretty please have a hardcover option available? Even if it's limited edition or something.
  17. You have a very elegant painting style, the skin-tones on Kade for instance are wonderful, and I love the freehand on Teddy's chest. Your Crews both looks great!!
  18. Wow, those boards look awesome!! Well done sir!
