  1. Ello, I just started playing again after playing when the game launched. I found my Gremlinette and shes basically NIB. Anyone have any thoughts what shes worth? If I can sell her to help me buy new models I think I might... TT
  2. JMP makes some bad arse terrain=P

  3. Procreate or begin creating spawn somehow, nurture them and in time you'll have both tax breaks and "gamers"!
  4. Pandora isn't as straight forward as the other masters can be. Teddy will give you a solid starting area (her main issue at the starter level is fixed by teddy) and from there after a few games you can make your own decisions on the crew. Another blister of dead hookers is first thing I'd recommend for Seamus, plus his totem is an AMAZING model and the rules are really solid as well. Rasputina loves the essence of power totem, but the wendigo is really cool looking, so thats a toss up. I like running the cat swarm over constructs but that requires a few blisters (2-3 hoar cats and the big guy). The December acolyte is a really solid investment with her (anti undead and helps with the slow speed of her starter). So Tina box plus totem and acolyte is prolly how I'd do it!. The gremlin starter is a great thing to double up on! Okay maybe not literally but either doubling your gremlin numbers, or the warpig is normally what I'd recommend. A Hog whisperer/piglet, is a welcome addition for the pigs. You certainly can play 25ss with a starter and a hog whisperer blister. From there you can decide if you want the stampeding pigs or the gremlin swarm! Regards, Ryan
  5. The best "killing yourself" thread I've found. http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9332&highlight=dumb+luck
  6. Friendly bump, hope to see you at the event. Ryan
  7. JMP sells terrain I bought enough for a single table and am heavily contemplating getting more! It's really high quality stuff. Ryan
  8. Just a heads up there is a group of us who play Malifaux every week at http://www.skullgate.com/ in Lakewood Colorado. We play on Fridays from noon on. There are tons of tables and we're always ready and willing to do a demo game. You can pm me here or on the skullgate forums. Hope to see some of you there, Ryan
  9. My kid just turned 1 last week so ya it's defiantly different. I do get to blame my sub par painting on her as she will walk over to my painting table and just shack it while I'm painting ><. Ryan
  10. HEY! If you're ever down in denver on a friday shoot me a pm! We play and enchanted grounds in highlands ranch and newly Skull gate Games in lakewood on Colfax, we'll be playing this weekend if there's any chance of you making an hour plus drive to hang out with a bunch of guys and toy pseudo soldiers... Ryan!
  11. I was actually the recipient of this Gremlin village and I'd like the say the work was very nicely done. He built the terrain to order and it all has a very nice theme/feel to it. I got more than enough to cover a 3x3, with Malifaux lvl's of terrain. The price was extremely reasonable imo, for custom work and he got the entire project done in under 10 days. i highly recommend him for anyone looking to buy terrain. Regards, Ryan
  12. Hey welcome I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can. 1. Factions can use any model in their faction. The only restriction there at this time are some totems are bound to certain masters. 90% of the time your list has to stay in faction. There are some models that allow the taking of out of faction models however. 2. The factions are nearly that focus'd imo. The guild have hard counters. The ortegas shoot really well, Lady J is an anti undead machine, and Sonnia is an anti magic user caster. Out of the guild LJ is the combat master. There is no shooting faction, melee faction, magic faction they really can do almost anything. 3. A standard deck of cards works you just need the little guide. The suits correspond to different suits in malifaux. There is a quick reference guide stickied that is great for that. 4 and 5 fall together it's pretty unique. Not sure who coined it but; "I'm often asked what genre and elements make up Malifaux ... that's simple, its: Steamvictoriohorrorwestpunk! Hope that clears it up for you." is a common line. When doing terrain (there are rules in the book) the location chosen/random'd could be any number of places. A swamp, gremlin village is going to look much different that a wild west prairie town. It's a large area that is filled with different themes. Hope that Helped, Ryan
  13. Hey Gryffen, If you're down in the metro area we are going to meet again this coming Friday (16oct) around noon at Enchanted grounds. it's a game/coffee store in Highlands ranch. Today we had two new people learning the game and one that could not make it due to real life flaring up. Between us we have most masters so if you're interested in learning and want a particular caster hopefully we can accommodate you. I'll send you a pm with more specifics! Ryan
  14. Looks great! You should get them printed on plastic cards. I hope that Wyrd will make decks on plastic cards eventually. i looked at custom decks but can't find a place to do plastic decks under 250 count. Ouch. Ryan
  15. Well when I get the terrain I bought we can take a look at it and tell me what you think! I was happy to pay someone else to do water effect terrain, I think you've seen my terrain but it was more scaled for 40k/warmachine! Ryan
  16. I get it! On fire! firefighter! See you on friday!
  17. Quick update guys I just finished turn one of the game I started with the skeeter horde 11 days ago. It's a 25SS scrim with me having Somer, 3 skeeters, a whisperer and 2 Bayous vs LJ, the exe 2 marshals, and the Judge. First turn consisted of me moving somer up, summoning another gremlin and taking the next 11 days to figure out what I was going to do, I drew 53 cards, moved teh skeeters in for the assassination, decided not to and did this till the first night was over. My opponent had just watched Rocky and didn't want to give up after a mere 6 hours so we reconviened the next night for more of my indisions. I could make up my mind so I just kept summing mosquetos waiting for my opponent to counter it. I figured by showing him this maneuver repeatedly it wouldn't just buy me time buy help my opponent get used to it and come up with a counter. Long story short 11 days later I have a plan and finished my first turn. I'm just going to wait till one of the guild gets close enough for Som'er to discard their hand than send in the skeeters. Will update when turn 2 ends!
  18. How often should we expect new releases? Will they be in the form of new factions or extending current factions? How will you make new models enticing without the "codex creep" that other games have demonstrated, while simultaneously keeping old models pertinent?
  19. http://enchantedgrounds.com/directions.html Is located just south of C470 and university in highlands Ranch. GreySeer, Myself, and another who isn't on the boards play there whenever we can. We've been in contact with DJ but as of yet haven't met up ><. I believe our next scheduled game session is the 9th around noon. This is a Friday if this is problematic we can try and work out another time. I play Leveticus, and the Gremlins. But also own ortega. Greyseer has all the guild, Ramous, and the Hag. If there is someone in particular that interests you we can try and accommodate that also. Anyways As I stated PM inc with more details! Ryan
  20. PSH you're both wrong. Bayou Gremlins are clearly the best gunslingers. Every time you shoot you hit something! and odds are every other time you're killing something!!!!
  21. I'm a huge fan of necro punks, but there is a long enough post about them in the res section. Glad you enjoyed the game!
  22. Your right in that he'd have to try and cast something to get at least one card into the discard pile before he drew the rest out.
  23. No store to the best of my knowledge in Colorado stocks Mali at this time or I would certainly support local. The people I play with have talked to the owner of Enchanted Grounds about carrying it and while interested he said he wasn't able to get them. FRP refunded me today and offered me free shipping if I was to re-order when they restocked. James appears to be their customer service manager and their handling of the refund seemed to go well with me checking in just yesterday and it getting processed today. I do appreciate James's effort. Ryan
