You may want to add a clause to stop this broken Som'er Teeth Jones, Mosquito Totem combo I am hearing about where you get to draw your whole deck and get right next to any model for death. (Sorry Gordy) Nerd may want to check this........

-Played a couple 25ss games. One VS Mcmourning- Used standard battle box for Raspy. Blood bath that came down to a nurse killing my Ice Golem and he shattered to kill her leaving no models on the board. DRAW The other VS Pandora- I played Rapsy box but switched the Golem for a Cerebus and a Gamin for The Acolyte. I played too agressive with the Cerebus and left him unsupported. He did get in amazing position to put a beat down on Pandora but WP checks galore can ruin your day. Then I slowly wittled away cade, candy, and 2 woes. Acolytle achieved Sabotage but opponant killed Cerebus for his scheme. WP after WP check was just too overwhelming, bad play on the Tiger, and learned what Pandora was all about. -30SS games, one scheme, lots of terrain First, opponant had Marcus, two snakes, cerebus, and two molemen. I had Raspy, 3 hoarcats, cerebus, gamin, and wendigo. We had treasure hunt and scheme played no part, but landslipe special events dealt about 9 total points of damaged throughout the game. I was able to freeze one snake and cerbus to the center piece of terrain, with the treasure, twice. That really slowed his fast moving army. I was able to ice pillar and separat the other snake from his posse and destroy him with D. Curse. Hoarcats soaked damaged and had to be addressed because of them getting close to Marcus and able to Devour HT 2. Marcus kept casting some Beasty spell that made all my BEAST duels at a negative flip. This made my whole game hell from here on out. I killed all his army but 2 moles and Marcus, he was on his way to return the treasure when he decided to backtrack. Raspy had just failed to kill him. Gamin was killed by moles, wedigo was playing catch up, hoarcats were charged and killed by Marcus then he charged again and killed Raspy. Wedigo left the game was called. Second game, was same Raspy list above but Essence of Power instead of Wedigo. VS Ramos, 2 gamin, Executioner, Joss. Tons of Terrain, objectives played no part. Hoarcats did nothing but get stomped by Executioner, Cerebus hit Joss hard and soaked Joss AND Executioner turns before being killed, Raspy came through and leveled most things except two arachnids and Ramos. It looked closer than it was because Raspy spells killed a lot at the end then Ramos finished her. I blame the Hoarcats lack of verasatility. They may be better in a slower list but they lack any ranged spell as Devour is rarely able to be used. They get chipped away at easily along the way and even if they get to the enemy they have little effectiveness. Cerebus is very good sneaky and fast attack option just dies fast. 30ss Lists I am looking to play next Raspy, Totem, Joss, Gamin, Ice Golem, Gunslinger OR Johan =30 Raspy, Totem, Joss, 3 Gamin, Gunslinger OR Johan =29 Raspy, Joss, 2 Gamin, Johan, Gunslinger =29 Raspy, Totem, Gamin, Hans, Misaki, Gunslinger =29 Which of the four sounds better? Also, Slinger or Johan?

A good 30ss game with the NERD, I still have problems utilizing my Cerebus. I fealt I had a shot most of the game but I needed a beatstick (non-beast) to be around. Marcus is cool, can't wait for wifey to get box for me. I think I needed to push a bit more and the 3 Hoarcats only soaked damage and did nothing. They did have to be addressed by you so that was good. Glenn put a beat down on me. The end of the game didn't look that bad but it was only because at anytime Raspy can wreck a ton of stuff. Unfortunately it came later rather than sooner. The 3 Hoarcats once again did nothing but become Executioner road kill. Cerebus smacked Joss hard (finally doing something) and soaked Joss and Executioners turns before being killed. I failed to use the Essence of Power even once, wow. I learned what a terrain heavy board can do, Ramos needs to be attacked quickly, and lots of rules corrections on my part. Thanks Glenn DOX, you up for a 30ss next Tues?

A little Wonka for ya Well, it says wish list so here goes.......... -stat card sleeves, with either faction name, faction symbol, wyrd or a combination on the other side. I figured a black background but color co-ordination works too -OR resized and formatted cards to fit all sleeves -shirts with faction name and symbol (have seen pics), or tell me where they are on the store site because i can't find them -spell counters, 50mm ring, damage counters.....litko for now but don't YOU want my money -art pages/posters of the world and characters (see book is coming yay!) -ice bases ('tina player) -faction pictured decks, instead of generic with clor stripe you would have the faction symbol and the actual pictures would be faction pics. Red joker could be a pick of the 3 masters and the black could be ab anti-union (arcanists) strike. just ideas, i'm sure you have better

Russ and I will be coming to this Tues. gaming. I have Arcanists and 2 games under my belt. I have read through the rules and have a good grasp. I can play up to about 50ss but would like to play 30ss as we are talking about a tourney coming up. Russ has about the same experience, plays Neverborn, but has a smaller army which will be expanded when he raids the RIW pantry.

First game was Rasputina Battle Box VS McMourning Battle Box. We both played assasinate I was slinging spells through my Gamin and keeping distance and triggering overpower with the December blast spell and killed Sabastian turn two and damaed a nurse that turn as well. My Gamin couldn't get the drop on anyone so I used their statue ability and kept them advancing to sling spells. Used Ice Pillars to separate the enemy models one another to continue to weaken them and not allow them to co-ordinate an attack on me. Flesh Golem had one speed burst turn and was fast to reach me and kill two Gamin but took some damage along the way. McMourning approached slowly but loaded up on body counters. Rasputina, Ice Construct, and one Gamin left McMourning, Flesh Golem, and one nurse left Gamin killed by Mcmourning after moving around ice pillars. Flesh Contruct (in Raspy's grill) was leveled down 2 damage per with her spell and then Raspy finished him off with a melee strike. I stupidly tried to pull off something and and play the black joker to gain two cards (two low cards) and then lost Raspy. Ice Construct VS McMourning and Nurse McMourning did not boost his nasty assasin boost flip ability because he thought he could drop the Ice Con easy in Statue form, wrong. Ice Golem with bite o winter killed Mcmourning then smacked Nurse down to 1 wound. Turn 6, nurse swung back and killed the Ice Con and he shattered killing her and leaving 0 models on the table DRAW Sorry it took so long to post and only one battle but I just had a new baby boy Sept 20 and that is my time lately. Also, my WED hobby group plays lots O games so we rotate. I am eager to play more games. really? So there is absolutely nothing in this story that will carry on, link into, or twist from what was blatantly apparent in this book into the next book? Really? Not sure what novels, comics, movies, or other games you have played but plots tend to have twists. Screw the hiding stuff, if you are a forum monkey you probably read the book so I don't care if I spoil something someone missed. THe Neverborn could be all the old folks that were locked in there for ages, they could be something that went totally corrupt and sieged those people and consumed them (sounds the same but not quite), or they could be Demons from hell and the original evils that swallowed up the people before the first closing have yet to show up. Keep thinking because there are more possibilities than I presented. December: Comes off as one of the old powers that was consumed by Malifaux's twisted nature. Could be a rogue Neverborn that seeks its own power. Could be a god and is trying to conquer Malifaux away from the grasp of the powers that ruled Malifaux and possibly still do. Could be pretty wimpy and is now dead, just a flash in the pan. C'mon, really nothing else intrigued anyone in this story? Maybe I think this story is better than it really is and need to broaden my reading horizon. Its no George RR Martin but I thought it Kicked A. Nerdlemental got anything?

:frusty:I have a friend that is a hardcore painter. He turned me onto this site originally for its IRON PAINTERS. He has made it into deeper rounds. Now Malifaux is out and half of the 12 people in my hobby group has invested. I have the Rasputina box, 3 hoarcats, 1 cerbrus, 1 acolyte :snow:I am asking you painters out there (being a so-so painter), what colors would you use if you painted ice? If you can name color and company that would be wonderful, a picture will be tremendously appreciated but not expected at all. :adore: Also, what technique would you use to paint ice? Dry brush, ink/wash, dip, or another? I have some generic ideas and am more skilled in dry brush but if something else works better I would like to broaden my skills. The layout for all things faction related should be on the front page. 5 factions should have their own FP links for General Discussion and Rules Queries. I know there are not a lot now but now launched the game will see more forum'ites. I found that getting to the right discussion area always took more searching and thinking about where my topic actually falls. You could have a section for General Malifaux too but I think that more people seek out Faction info than anything else.

To Nilus, WED is our weekly PTG meeting so I will ask the couple guys there and/or email them so I can forward along their feedback. :listen: I am glad to help. Don't forget these same guys went back and had a good experience but I get the fact that you are looking for the differences. I will direct IM you if you like just let me know.

The being could have taken the name from the mortals mind of winter and it falls in December. Or this is the world of Jack Skeleton and Nightmare before Christmas and December is a badass Santa "Claws". Or a Big bad being that grants powers to others or manipulates those that already have powers into believing it can give them more or IS the true source of their power so they worship him. :bowsucker Then again maybe Raspy is really hard up and just doesn't want to date "normal" guys. :inlove: (sorry, discovered the huge array of emoticons) What I think: I think that Malifaux was filled by another world much like Earthside is filling it now. Then when beings became more and more powerful they were able to work in peace for some time like it is currently that is and then it all went to full on war. These being were much stronger than current Malifaux residence are even to this day but they were able to be pushed back (+story) and now they don't have to be dealt with. The remnant of that other world that had their own breach were contorted over time into what is now the Neverborn. They just "were" in this world only according to the humans that came over. I think that soulstone is inheritantly evil as is sucks the souls of those passed without allow them to go where ever they need to (question is whether or not this setting believes the souls go ANYWHERE but there IS a soul to speak of). This world births this evilness in its very ground and therefore anything that stays there is twisted even more through every generation until you have the likes of the Neverborn. Or the Neverborn really are just Demons that WERE and therefore never naturally born, but i like my idea better. Or In a world of evil like Malifaux can anything that comes from it be used or turned for good? Or its more like a gate to purgatory, limbo, or a plane of hell than just another plane of existence. Or maybe if all greed with soulstones would stop and souls were not culled for their use then the world would gradually become less evil. But that would take a moral chaoice and humbling of appetite for power. Or or or or ......how many more possible spins can I write......or maybe use them all!?!?!?!?!

(I will not spoil any story here, I mention this now because I will be saying things that you will likely say "duh, you read this", but not everyone has) I have read all the stories in the book and in the E-magazines and I would like to have ideas thrown around as to what December is exactly. We know December is a being/creature of tremendous power from the Old World. I had one friend write that December is a Neverborn broken away much like Killjoy but even more powerful. December is suppose to be like a diety or greater Malifaux power but could he come back in another form temporarily. Hence his connection to Rasputina or others have suggested a slight posessing of Rasputina. Let me know what you think or something else I have missed but don't spoil things if possible. Maybe direct message me. Book is so new I would hate to have something ruined for someone.
