  1. Sorry for the late reply! I have been so busy lately. I am an engineer and a game designer for Darkson Designs too. We've been ramping up for GenCon so that leaves me almost no free time. Let me know when you're doing some Malifaux in the near future. I work close by Greensburg and I'd be happy to stop and through some metal around. You going to GenCon? I am so stoked about the new Wyrd releases. Cheers, Chris

  2. Hey abbysdad, my name is Scott Walton and I own the Vault Comics and Games in Greensburg, PA. Saturday May 22, we are running demos of the game. If you would like to come down and play we will be starting around 1pm. We have 3 veteran players from New Castle coming in and showing off the game so we may be playing some other games afterward. Sorry we do not have the extent of terrain that Legions does, but we do our best.

  3. Hey Rick, Depending on the weather, I should be able to make it tomorrow. The baby hasn't come yet, but we still have a lot of work to do to get ready for her. -Chris

  4. Wow. Cool mini, awesome paint job. Thanks for posting. -Chris
  5. That is an awesome model! Where'd she come from?
  6. Thanks for the comments and kind words. They should be painted tonight...if the kids let me play with my toys. I agree with the lubrication and the spoon tool. The best sculpters do it with vaseline But the rough sculpt was an intentional effect this time, finger prints included. I was trying to give the putty lots of areas to collect washes for the OSL. I guess we'll see how it comes out. I made two because I couldn't decide what look I liked better. So now I have two in case some one else summons one. And with the paint it pink theme of the crew, more magenta lightning is a good thing! -Chris
  7. Hi, I've been doing some sculpting in between painting other mini's and waiting for the totems to come out. The Malifaux world just gets the imagination going. Here's my attempt at a Voodoo doll for Z. And here are some Electrical Creations for Ramos. For some reason Dr. Ramos looks like he has a very Chow Yun Fat look/posture to me. So I made the EC's to look like Lightning Dragons. At least, that was the goal. I ordered the M&SU starter box to do demos with Arcanists. The goal is to use a lot of OSL to make them really look like pink/magenta lightning for some "paint it pink" style. Comments are welcome! I'm trying to get better. Now, back to painting AE: Bounty... Best Regards, Chris
  8. Living in Pittsburgh, if you're not a Pens fan, they track you down and beat you. And then they go after your Grandma... So GO PENS!
  9. For mini games: AE-WWII Hordes Malifaux (of course!) Pulp City Alkemy (a couple of friends in the area are starting it up) Other than that, the kids have been into card games lately. We've had some knock down drag out games of Uno and Go Fish, let me tell you.
  10. First, sorry to hear about your terrible weekend. ER's are terrible. I live in Pittsburgh, and ours is OK, but that's probably because we go to a Children's Hospital. I think the longest I've ever waited there with any of my kids is 1 hour to be seen and helped. A visit usually takes 4 hours total. My kids seem to need a lot of stitches because of their shenanigans but no broken bones yet. When I've had to take my friends in an emergency, it has been very bad. Similar to your experience. Does your pediatrician do emergency hours? Do you have any MedExpress clinics in your area? Those two options have saved us a lot of time and money. We avoid hospitals when we can, even though our insurance covers visits. -------------------------------- I agree with the other posters, somethings gotta give. The current US system stinks. And it takes precious time and money away from family and gaming! Best Regards, Chris
  11. Thanks! I posted in the opponent finder. Now all I need is a tourney or something to motivate me to hurry up on the mini's. -Chris

  13. Hello Wyrd Family, I saw Malifaux at GenCON this year. I was really impressed with the tourney too. The Wyrd team did a thorough and professional job so everyone playing could have a lot of fun. I picked up the book, two decks, and starter sets of Zoraida's Neverborn and Perdita's Gunslinger Family. I hope to have them both painted up soon. I live in Pittsburgh, PA. The game shop I go to regularly is Legion's in the north hills but I live close to Phantom of the Attic in Oakland. Look me up if you're interested in a game. Best Regards, Chris
