Hi! I'm not sure what have Malifaux that attracts all kind of players, not only the typical wargame-players... Maybe is only that this game is soo awesome :D Welcome to the forums, pal, and feel free to ask any question do you have. All of us were newbies someday, so don't be scared... At Barcelona we are in a continue growing spiral. So I run demos every month, in all kind of events related to wargames. In each event I have at least one new player, so I can't make any tournament still 'cause people doesn't know the rules properly... In autumm we will have our first tournament, after an year of being a henchmen and a lot of demos and games...

My turn... I love to read: scifi and fantasy books, almost. But sometimes I read things from other genres... Watching cartoons (and anime) is one of my favourite ways to spent time... This at the hobby side of life. I have a dog, also, and spent a lot of time with him. He likes to play with me a dog-style "you catch me" play (sorry if you don't understand this, I'm not sure about how to say in english, but you probably know the game: one runs, the other try to catch him ). And a girlfriend. And friends. So a lot of things to do and little time...

I love BBT, but almost over for the scientist jokes (I have a PhD degree, as Sheldon and Leonard ) that for the geek jokes... I have too many friends that doesn't like the show but loves The IT crowd (I think); they have computer-related jobs, and like a show about it... I prefer a show about mad scientist

There is a new LGS at the city, and to celebrate it I will making demo games, talking about the game and (I expect) having fun... So if you are planning to go to Barcelona this weekend (for the Comic Con, for example) and want to spend a few hours playing Malifaux, you are welcome! :D

First, thanks to all But seems that I don't explain very well... ^^U My first idea was to make demos with Sonia and McMourning. But, as a friend of mine tell me, that is not a good idea. So I pick up Lady J and Ramos... Now, the crew that I post is for me. For fun games, competitives games, etc. Not for demos. I have leave this crew, by the moment, at the "next things to do" pile... It will cost a lot of money to play like I want it (something similar that I post it): box, two blisters of dogs, maybe two blisters of guards... Too much money for only 25ss. But when I have painted my new crews... Well, why not? Thanks again, guys...

Hi, guys! Last week I was thinking about to buy two another crews for demos purpose only... and I think in a Sonia vs McMourning duel. With guild guards in the two sides, only that alive in one side and non-alive at the other... At last, I buy Lady J and Ramos (western and steampunk is more descriptive about what is Malifaux), but the McMourning crew was in my head still... So I'm planning in to buy (in a few months) this McMourning crew, but I want to know what do you think first... Ressurectionists Crew - 25 - Scrap Dr. Douglas McMourning -- 8 Cache Zombie Chihuahua [1ss] Canine Remains [2ss] Guild Autopsy [3ss] Guild Autopsy [3ss] Guild Autopsy [3ss] Nurse [5ss] Sebastian, Morgue Assistant [6ss] One option that I have is change one Autopsy and the two dogs for two necropunks (for speed), but for themed crew I think that the dogs are better... I think that have a huge close combat power (with McMourning and Sebastian) and some fire power with the guards... Also, I can summon more guards, or a flesh construct, or more dogs... so the crew is highly thematic. But... is "effective"? Thanks, guys!

Now that I have a Ramos crew coming to me, I'm thinking to make something similar... I want a modular swarm, so I think that I will stole your idea And a question about the bases. I recognized pieces from IG tanks, and also Tau and Space marine vehicles, I think. But... is there anything else?

Hi! I'm planning to build an indoor table to give my games a new dimension... but I'm not sure about how to build it. I only know one thing: I don't have too much time, and I prefer to spend my time painting my crews that building scenography. So I will use the woldworks files that I have... So I'm writing here, asking for a kind advice from you, my pals... I have a few questions, also. So here are... Do you build a 3'x3' table or something smaller, that can allow me to put with another scenography? Do you make it modular? I mean, 4x1,5' (or more) moduls that I can combine to lchange the table. Wood base or something lighter? I'm thinking in polyurethane foam core covered with cardboard (I don't know how is the english word, sorry). Do you make corridors clearly marked in the board, or prefer to create it when adding the walls? With this, I think that I could start to make mine... Also, if you have build it one and have pictures, I will like to see it... Thanks!

Absolution Black, "ola" is a wave, "hola" is hello And about the topic... Hi!! Your nickname sounds familiar to me... Is great to look that the game start to increase its spanish population... Maybe now we can have an spanish character in to the game! (and no, the Ortegas are not spanish, I think... They look more similar to mexicans that to spanish...)

The fact is that the stitched together minis are very beatiful, and also Coppelius... and I have a friend with a Dreamer crew, so I will ask him for these minis in future games, and if i like it, i will buy it...
