  1. This is also why McMourning has a tray with a head on it. He isn't in a lab as that would be silly, he is fighting in the streets of Malifaux but he also has a tray with a head on it because that's just how he rolls. Also when leading a crew of the Guild. Judge (while decapitating a Terror Tot): "Hey boss, why the tray with the head on it?" McM (while stabbing (one-handed) a Mature Nephilim): "What tray? What head? I have no idea what you're talking about." Edit: ninjaed by Razhem. I have to say that I'm rather surprised o_O Damn Ten Thunders and their sneaky ways! *shaked fist*
  2. A Henchman that can do stuff from afar is a really good idea in HC since Assassinate is so important.
  3. Here's a tutorial:http://www.bushido-thegame.com/articles/painting-tattoo
  4. The middle Monk's pose is boring and weird (pulling an imaginary bow for the win!) but the other two look good. Especially the one with the polearm looks really nice. The Peasants are serviceable - it's difficult to do anything mind blowing with the concept. Sensei Yu doesn't seem to fit his rules and takes a lot of painting skill to make look good, but I do like the artwork a lot. As a mini it might be difficult to pull off. As for Shenlong - not bad. I'm not a fan of "mandatory" tattoos since painting good-looking tattoos at this scale is extremely difficult. All in all the box will require a lot of skill to pull off nicely. So yeah, as minis I'm a bit afraid, but as art that is very badass.
  5. She is, but apparently a limited edition version. Now that you mention it, everything kind of has been going towards a more understated, realistic, and gritty style during the 2nd edition.
  6. In the long run that might be even more horrible, though. Colette is a very popular Master and has a draw all of her own. If a prospective player is intrigued by an amazing Nightmare version and is then told that all they can have is a bland, plain version (unless they scour the eBay for a $200 nightmare version), that is not a good first impression to make.
  7. There are actually several possibilities. Asura de Sarlath or one of the Scavengers are the most likely. Check here: http://underthemountainblog.com/athenaeum/aarklash-archive/factions/limbo-of-acheron/ But I suppose one of the Horned Riders of the Drune is also possible. 8. That's not her "Smugglers" outfit, that's her "going to the store on a Monday" outfit. ???Like Nico and McM going full incognito to maintain their double lives in the guild? "It's more realistic" has to be the silliest argument for a bland Stage Magician Master that I have ever heard.
  9. Ah, yes, you are indeed correct. Thank you! I haven't heard anything good about it. Of course usually bad impressions are shouted louder so I might've just missed it.
  10. Agreed, the boots are extremely silly. They look like this stuff:https://www.google.fi/search?q=slippers+with+horns&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=8ObZU6X1MKKAywP50oKoCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=955#q=monster+slippers&tbm=isch
  11. I really wish these had been crowd tested (due to the not-so-great track record of in-house testing for Tara) but it's still good news. I really hope that they are in the new book so I don't need to buy the Outcast deck, however.
  12. The crew box art is just (somewhat crudely) copy pasteing the individual portraits onto the stock background they use. If they have the pic for the book/card, they have it for the box art.
  13. From Hot Topic, I think. They are in a wide stance:https://www.google.fi/search?q=coryphee+malifaux&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=4x3ZU8naCeb9ygOm2ICABQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=955
  14. Certainly not, because then you couldn't be going on about how you can paint her more flamboyant than the pic I can look past the colour (which isn't grey but blue, btw - at least on my monitor) and what we have is a plain girl with goggles. Not a stage magician Master. It's a boring model. Sure, you can paint crazy freehands on it, but that you can do on a cardboard box and it will end up looking interesting. That's not how you gauge whether a sculpt is boring or not.
  15. Ah, yeah, I meant new art that has been released in the latest splurge. (Also, Ironsides isn't bad at all, though I would've preferred more oomph )
  16. We won't get rulings on the forums anymore so while waiting for the FAQ you have to rule it somehow if it comes up in a game. I know how I'm going to rule (the way that I'm 99% sure the FAQ will rule it).
  17. Maybe so, but why go maximally bland? I really don't understand what the people who like her see in her - she's a girl in a dress with goggles. Super boring. The new LE Performer art is tons more interesting (though she looks more like Sara Zingaresce than a Performer).
  18. The interesting question is whether they have done something to the campaign included or not (it was for M1.5 and not very good from what I heard).
  19. What a let down! Sheesh, a missed opportunity if there ever was one - that's really boring and looks like just a random woman as opposed to a Stage Magician Master. Definitely the most disappointing of the new art so far.
  20. Yup. Certainly. The rules of M2 aren't very tightly written (cf. all rules on cards have an implied "in play" in them while the rules in the rulebook don't and this isn't spelled out anywhere) but if you have to rule it somehow in a game situation, will you rule it as it is extremely likely to be rules in the FAQ, rule the oppposite or, I dunno, stop the game and go home?
  21. Does someone really, honestly, believe that the FAQ is going to say that Red Joker is it's own damage category and stuff that works on Severe won't work with a Red Joker? Honestly? I would be willing to bet rather a large sum of money that the FAQ will rule this that Red Joker is Severe + Weak damage and not a new damage category that does an amount of damage that is the combined total of severe + weak but does not count as severe damage for triggers or abilities.
  22. I used a Young LaCroix in a tournament yesterday. He reloaded Ophelia with two guns (earned his keep, so to say). I shot Ototo with all I got but he was left at a single wound, so on her final (0), Ophelia used Her Threatening gun on the only Kin around, the Young LaCroix, to make him shoot Ototo with a negative flip. Success, moderate damage, Ototo prevented two and was no more. Next round Young LaCroix reloaded one gun for Ophelia and then shot at Lynch, cheated in a 12 of Rams, got the Dumb Luck trigger, got Moderate damage again, and blew himself away (while also doing six damage to Lynch). The boy did good!
  23. The Bayou Gremlin is 50% more expensive. That's a lot. You can get three Youngs for the price of two Bayous giving a lot of bang for the buck when it comes to getting activation advantage.
