  1. Misaki is excellent. Very flexible (As everyone has said). Soulstone wise I like running max soulstones with Viktoria. She's a good bully dueler and the amount of damage she can do with max soulstones is crazy. And helps her get more...
  2. It's on my must see movie list. Maybe this weekend...
  3. I think one of the biggest things is that the Ortega boxset is one of the most effective boxsets. Once you start switching out models other factions do quite well v them. Some of the boxsets are more tournament worth than others which is not surprising since they're theme based.
  4. I'd drop most the box set and run Sebastian/Belles/Punk Zombies and potentially Bette Noire. Dogs, Nurses, and Flesh constructs are good but you can summon 2 of them and nurses are only good in larger games. You want to focus on aggro (Punk Zombie/Sebastian) and harpoon tech to move your enemy into threat range (Belles). Summon the flesh construct only once your close to blitz your opponent in one turn. Mcmourning with lure support has a lot of threat and you can do serious damage with him if you combine him with a flesh construct. Though you gotta plan it right. He's got 3 good (0) actions and you gotta choose wisely when to use them, especially since scalpel slinging is essential to his combat style.
  5. For McMourning it's all about Punk Zombies and Belles. I would definitely advise throwing belles in. Mcmourning really benefits from getting enemies closer to him, more so than any other Res master. And Punk Zombies are always good...
  6. Warmachine Malifaux Warhammer Fantasy Infinity Looking to Start Dark Ages
  7. I love McMourning he's one of my two favorite masters in the game (Him and levi) and I think you can do some cool stuff with him (I worked A LOT with him in the beta to make it that way). I'm quoting this guy because it's quoted for truth. That army list is fantastic for Mcmourning and very close to my own. Only difference is I often drop 1 belle/the gravespirit for his totem and another punk zombie. Though both are good options. I find 3x belles has some problems v armies that can deal with lure and thus drop one for more solid attrition units (AKA, the Punk zombie). Also one quick note. Mcmourning can't gain the army from the grave spirit. Undead only sadly (Or it'd be kinda broken to be honest)
  8. The Saemus boxset is pretty good but optimizing wise you want more high damage units (Yep, good old punk zombies). In fact I like only taking 1 or 2 as to be honest he'll summon plenty more as the game goes on and as such should focus more on the units he can't summon. The Hanged is also nice (Or 2 at 35 SS. 2 Hanged, 2 belles and 2 punk zombies ain't bad. You can drop the belle for another punk zombie or a crooked man). As for the Belles, the belle basically exist for 2 purposes. 1. To be very hard to kill for their SS cost. 2. To cast lure. They're not bruisers, they're not fast. Instead they're tough as nails and havea great movement spell.
  9. Steamborg and Joss is a bit much. You usually want one or the other and the saved points should be spent on Spiders. Ever so many spiders...
  10. Cool game. Though sounds like you let Mcmourning get left out on his own. Always remember he can take a charge, and regain all his life next turn. I always wait to make sure he engages the enmy with the rest of his army even though he is faster (I'm sure you already know that, just saying is all). Oh yeah, and personally I prefer another punk zombie and a belle instead of the construct but that's personal preference to be honest.
  11. Honestly, I don't think we were thanked enough. So much death, so much destruction. And when we got back there were no parades, no, we were spit on. This country disgusts me... ... Ummm, sorry. Nam flashback there. Happens from time to time.
  12. Hey, welcome. Nicodems a prety nasty master. He's a very strong attrition master due to his ability to summon lots of models and having a solid spell list with good damage and good buffs. As for what models to get, Nicodem can really use a bit of everything because he can summon models during battle and as such he can respond to changing battle situations. However when it comes to generally good stuff with him, more punk zombies are always good, as they are a fantastic unit. The Crooked Men, Bete Noire and Canine Remains are also great with him but sadly don't have models yet. The Flesh construct, Nurses and Necropunks are all pretty good with him and have their place Nurse can buff units at the cost of killing them but Nicodem just summons more, the flesh construct is a beat stick and necropunks make good speed bumps and are good for targeting with nurses.) And honestly, Rotten Belles are just really good in general. So basically, most stuff is good to get with him, with the stuff I mentioned being the usual stuff he's used with. As for a fate deck, they're all the same. Just different coloured backs... Hope that helps, Regards.
  13. I'm with Weird. the huge threat range they have is amazing. That and pack is a ridiculously powerful ability. And honestly all around their stats are average to good. cb's a little low but it's payment for the massive mobility and swarming ability they have as well as good defense v shooting (Cameleon is great) and ability to escape combat (Do remember that when they escape combat they can move in any direction. This allows setup for some nasty charges.)
  14. I must agree with you. Probaby something that got overlooked in the end of balance rush. He's still a really good model though, that spells just kinda bad.
  15. I'm just saying a lot of armies can deal with the tow and you have to be careful. Summoning the deolation early can cause problems though because he's open to shooting unless you use the action in which case he's rather slow and he takes a lot of damage before hitting the target. I'm always back and forth on taking v summon the desolation engine. Usually I won't though and leave him in the summon only category. On the hanged note, love him but not with Levi. I prefer to use him with WP test causing masters as they can combine their efforts (Love him with Saemus. Trail of fear makes him fantastic). With Levi I'm a big fan of damage damage damage.. and some attrtion. The hooded riders always a good call Punk zombies and crooked men are great Joss is a suprisingly fun option Teddy's also very cute. The Peacekeeper is also really fun to use. I love that guy. Rusty Alice is also a good option, I'm a big fan. She lends some ranged support but she's also great at defending Levi and the card draw she gives is fantastic. She's worth it just for that. Honestly there is a lot of flexibility with Levi and you can create some very cool lists. These are just my personal preferences. Play around and see what works for you...
  16. I'm a big fan of his twisted princess line. I actually posted a to link to them on this forum a few months ago myself.
  17. Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay here... BTW, nice choice in avatar. Taokaka eh....
  18. Nice army list. It's quite good against shooting armies but just as a warning there are a number of melee armies that will be able to deal with it. Things with leaping units, or Liliths army list can attack is due to it's fragility. (Nothing sucks like linking all those abominations in and having lilith come over and greatsword attack all of them. It's very nasty. Or sonnia criid throwing fireballs at him since it's not a ranged attack. Non ranged attack spells are also the bane of this list.). You're spending 12SS on subpar models (Abominations exist for summoning, not for fighting) which can really hurt you if the bomb doesn't work, especially with the whole alternating activation thing as the hooded rider pulls the abominations and either gets charged, or is not close enough to bomb with the desolation engine on the turn it appears. Not saying it's a bad list, I quite like it. Just saying you gotta be careful with it as there are some armies that have the tools to deal with it. I personally play Leveticus with lots of solid units (Punk zombies for example) or with lots of very elite units so I can use his card draw mechanic to bully duel. He's got a lot of variety and he's a lot of fun to play. Just throwing out some potential issues you may want to look into.
  19. My personal preference is something along the lines of (At 35SS which is my standard play)... Rasptuina Essence of Power Joss (He's fantastic with December's touch) 2 Ice Gaimin (As Arc Nodes/Using Bite of Winter) Sabertooth Cerberus And at this point you can throw in stuff as a matter of preference. More Gaimin, soulstones, a december acolyte, another Cerberus (A personal favorite). Student of Conflict is a good option though. Most mage casters are quite slow and thus it's a very useful option. Rasputinas got some good options and it's nice to experiment to see what works. My general policy with her is to run fast things to make up for her slowness. While being able to bounce spells does give her a bit more threat than she appears to have she still has to spend a lot f time moving. Do remember though effectiveness does vary a lot depending on scenario/matchup so something may perform poorly in one situation but be far more useful in others. Hope that helps a bit, Regards.
  20. Personally I'm a big fan of McM, he's one of my favorite masters. Lots of offense, lots of damage, cool abilities. Good stuff all around. Nicodem is not to be underestimated however. Bolster undead is amazing especially with punk zombies/crooked men (cb 9 paired melee units? How about def 8 units v ranged attacks?). Nicodem also has a lot of card draw which is amazing in this game. And lastly the unit spamming is astonishing with Nicodem. Your enemy kills your army but every turn 1-3 models of it return and overwhelm your enemy. It's pure, cold attrition. Just give him a shot and you'll see how nasty can he be....
  21. Need to get some more recent numbers but the difference between Canadian and American taxes on average is surprisingly small. Though it does depend a lot on state taxes as that fluctuates quite a bit. Surprised about the price thing. Every time I travel to the US everything costs the same or more than it does in Canada. I'm always very confused. Probably also varies state to state (Seems to be the rule in the USA). Though I must admit gas is much more expensive.
  22. I'm always a fan of punk zombies. Excellent melee troops and really good for the attrition style warfare Nicodem does. Crooked men are also a good option because they're really hard to drop for their SS cost and with reanimator you can weigh your enemy down in hard to kill models.
  23. That's pretty awful, though it's good you finally got in. In Canada people always talk about how long the waits are for medical care and that it's not like that in the US. It's good to hear that medical service is ridiculously slow everywhere (Well, not good, very bad actually.)
  24. Ramos + Levi is actually a really popular combo. Levi allows constructs to be hired from other armies which really helps Ramos. They are also very synergistic with Rusty Alyce. They're a great pair of masters.
  25. As people here have said, spider bombs and electrical creations are key. Unresistable damage is king and Ramos forces your enemy to spread his army out otherwise blast damage kills the entire enemy army. There's a lot you can do army wise with Ramos. The usual is 1 big creature and the rest being spiders. Though you can make the big thing a spider swarm, or 2-3 and go crazy. It's a lot of fun. You do have to keep Ramos close so he can create more spiders. It's all about attrition, swarming, locking enemies in combat, and blowing up your guys.
