I learned A LOT about painting by joining the WAMP forum and becoming part of their community. Lots of friendly and talented folks over there to learn from.

Been working on them over the past couple days, it sticks fine enough, I've concluded I just hate GS... That line down the front of Yamaziko is killer. I thought I had covered it up but primer proved me wrong. Attempt #2 pending.

Buy moar Rezzers, then kill your opponants, then raise them, then turn them out on the corner to make you some script.

yeah, scrap the rubber bands, those will dry out and crumble in no time. Never underestimate the power of corigated cardboard as metal. Thats a nice cheap way to get a lot of material. I find the best stuff from lightbulbs or hard taco shell boxes. You can get lots of nice wooden planks from the local coffee shop/work break room as well. Have fun!

I usually get Shikome out ASAP and get it on whatever it is I'm scared of the most to kill it or at least tie it down. Ikiro is great as well to clean some stuff up in the middle. Those Onryo are awesome for the cost though. Can't say I summon Gaki at all unless it's from that Datsue-ba ability. Lots of new magic weapons out these days... Will have to see how this crew matches up anymore.

Looking good! I'm excited to get my box as well. Will they be waiting for me when I get home from work? Will they get to watch the Broncos crush the puny Falcons on Monday night football? I sure hope so. I think putting together the fat ninja and the little fire farting creature will be the most fun.

30 pieces for 3 minis. These took me FOREVER to get together. Not just together, but off the sprue, clean the mold line that runs around both sides of all 30 pieces and then puzzle my way through constructions. The hats where the hard part, but you can tell which ones are which if you look at them and the head negatives in the back. They all fit together with different tabs styles. I glued the two cloth bits together first and then slipped the head in and glued that in then the hat last, then onto the body. I had to shave the tabs/pins off the top of the cloth and then cut out the female parts in the top of the hat and shave the top of the head down a lil to get them to fit with no gaps. Overall a real PITA/Enjoyable modeling time. (yeah, I complain about the stuff I enjoy doing sometimes) Now to GS them. I think I have about 2-3 hours into geting them assembled and another 30-hour to get them GS'ed up and pretty. These are really cool models though. I love the dynamic action to two that are drawing. The look awesome, and when I finally get to paint them they will be that much more enjoyable. Oh yeah, leave some tabs on the feet when you cut them off the sprue! Otherwise you are setting yourself up for trying to pin a tiny foot with flip flops on it.

I fought for Hans to be cheaper in Beta, but they didn't listen Haven't used him in years for above reasons. I always thought it would be cool for him to have an ability: (2) Firing lane: Place a 30mm target marker within range of sniper rifle. Any enemy model that passes within 2" of the taget marker halts their movement and immidiately takes a sniper rifle shot before completing the move. Any enemy model performing an action within 2" of taget marker immidiately takes a sniper rifle shot before the action is comepleted. Would also like to see some sort of "wing clip" shot to give enemies Slow. (although he may already have this, should bust out the card before I post I know but I'm not near my stuff.)

I think the Kang model is really bad looking. The stance is a half squating and that right shoulder/arm is really bad. The shape isn't normal the bicep looks wierd, its bigger than the left side. I understand overly muscular and all but that one looks kinda dumb and stands right out to me. On the flip side though, some of the other plastics (the ones I've dealt with were the archers, Spear guy and the beconers) have been pretty nice. I think we'll see a learning curve as they begin to see what they can and can't do and what looks good and what doesn't.

I know you are a little backed up at the moment Wyrd, and I'm not talking about you missing your 10am'er, but I would love some busts of Wyrd charaters. You know, those awesome little head/shoulder sculptures. You made one, I have it, and its awesome. Now I want more! Not your typical gaming product I know, but as you look for ways to release new product, this could be a nice way to diversify and offer up some pretties to the painters out there. You already have lots of great characters with loyalty and a great following of people. I bet these would do better than you think. I would love to see a bust of an Oiran. Something about an Asain chick in a gas mask is so fuggin bad as. Please!!! (and thank you)

Started putting together the new plastics and see there will be a need for GS in some spots. Does it take well to the plastic or are there any tricks to it, or just standard like on a metal mini? I'll be trying it out tonight but thought someone might have some more experience already. I seem to remember having troubles with the GW plastics a while back.

Love: Perdita, love painting that model and have a couple times now, including my latest mini. She got me back into painting after my "college break" from the hobby. Hate: Rackham models only because I can't get mine to look half as good as ones you see online. @nilus: I too am dreading that sonia avatar. I keep telling myself I'll just airbrush it but I know it wont be that easy. I'm nervous to even put it together.

Tough call. They are all so good. I've mainly played Seamus, McMzle and Kirai. But I've been served up by Nico many a times. This was the first year I passed on a LE Wyrd Gencon item. Wasn't thrilled in the item or the value. I was never much for paying for stuff like this though so I would have been a tough sell anyway. And yes, you can grab some sweet deals on wicked stuff right after halloween. Still waiting to see one of those trees all puttied up and painted. I bet they look awesome.
