  1. Well, then you are well ahead of me! I have not even touched a brush in 2 weeks:doh: Gotta get at least base coats done before we play, and still need to finish my mini for rotten harvest. Plus painting contracts plus work plus cub scout stuff with my son plus some time with the wife plus therapy with my youngest son plus yard work :yield:
  2. That is a really cool base! I can't wait to see it in person! We still one for a game in October?
  3. Two things I want to get your opinions on. 1: if a doppelganger mimics lilith's brood mother ability, would he be able to companion a second nepilim with lilith, or would the nipilim companion to him? Since the ability states one nephilim within 6" recieves companion (lilith) Would he be able to take a nephilim within 6" of HIM, and companion it to lilith? 2: can he mimic a masters 'Use Soulstone' ability? I hope so, that would be evil, and appropriate for the neverborn!
  4. Incorrect, with the nephillum AND the cherub both companioned to lillith, you can transport him back before the enemy gets a chance to activate anything!
  5. Okay, I came up with this idea while reading about totems. It seems situational, but could be very useful for scenarois based on grabbing counters. Lillith casts transposition on a companion nephilum swapping places with an enemy model. The nephillum then does his thing, either grabbing a counter, or in the case of a matuer nephilum, "kidnapping" someone. Then the Cherub (also companioned to lillith) casts transposition to swap the nephilum back with the original swapped target. You could potentially vollyball a mature nephilum in and out of your opponents crew, causing significant damage with no real fear of reprisal. All provided on having the cards in hand to cast the spell, and your opponent not making the resist flips. Thoughts?
  6. Well, in Tampa it is generally just me and Tony playing other stuff. Getting people to play anything else is almost impossible these days.
  7. Yeah, I saw that one at gencon, and thought it was awesome! I am still waiting for the professional pics they took at the con to go live so I can have decent pictures of my entry.
  8. He is absolutely badass considering 7 hours of work!!!! I found out last night that I am in a painting funk. My hands were not meant to use paint brushes last night.
  9. Awesome! I cannot wait to paint up mine! Priorities...Gotta paint lilith's crew and Dr.M so I can demo first.
  10. Absolutely phenominal!! I LOVE the parasols on the belles, they came out great, and Mortimer looks perfect!
  11. Beautiful stuff! Sybelle is by far my fav! She just looks gross and creepy.
  12. Great job on the skin! This is the second set of red nephillum, and I am really tempted to do it myself! Love the tots!
  13. Awesome job John!! I like him better than the first! How about dirty grey for the third?
  14. Blood splatter is easy. Start out painting the apron completely. This has to be the first thing you paint. After you have done the apron, you stiple a few spots of brown on the apron. After that mix up a bit of a blood red/red gore with some vallejo glaze medium, and "smear" it over your brown spots. This gives a red smear, with a dark center. Finally I take a toothbrush, and dip it in red and run my finger over the bristles to splatter the red onto the model. While the paint is still wet, you can clean it off of the rest of the mini, and also smear some of the larger drops.
  15. I am diggin Justice! And I like the choice of Red for the Nephillum. It looks very unique
  16. So I figured I would start this as a method to help me get S#@t done. Here is a WiP of Dr.McM, just a start, and a lot left to do. BTW, if you cannot tell, I suck at photography, and I am working on learning to take better pics. Hopefully have some updates, with better pics later this week
  17. I feel your pain. A few months ago my 6 year old vomited some blood, so off to the emergency room we go. We got there around 1 in the afternoon on Sunday, at 9pm we saw our first doctor, at 1am they transferred us to another hospital with a better pediatric unit, where we spent the next 4 days. I should have just gone to the second hospital in the first place, and saved 12 hours of my life!
  18. Okay, I did 4 demos of the game on Saturday at the LGS First demo, he did not like the game play. (he prefers buckets of dice) But he was interested in the fluff, which says a lot. Second demo was just the opposite. He liked the system, but the background does not have enough "Grim Darkness" for his tastes. Third demo, went well, he liked the rules and background. Fourth demo was the best. He loved the background, and spent a good portion of the evening reading my book, he also LOVED the game play. he commented that it was simple to learn, but he could see the depth that the skills and abilities would bring in. All told it was a decent demo day.
