  1. Another Crew update. Zombie PUnk #3 and the Flesh Construct. I can't decide what to paint up next. Necropunks, Mortimer, Grave spirit, or the other 2 Crooked men.
  2. Not sure what you mean. My style is a blend of techniques. This is "fast" table top painting for me. Loose brush strokes and layering w/ a bit of wash at times to bring the colors together. Rarely more then 3 layers a section. I believe a long way from Euro layering in very thin glazes and work ups. The zombie flesh is Reapers Triad. No blending between: Ghoul Flesh Moldy Flesh Bloodless Flesh light controlled wash/glaze of GW Red Gore: 10:1 dillution. Jean blue: Base: VMC Blue Grey Wash: GW Badab Black Recapture Base except lows w/ Blue Grey H1: Reaper Master Series Snow Shadow H2: Privateer Press Frost bite Rust is stippled and take about 2 min to complete a blade not including dry time. Base: Bolt gun metal Wash: Devlan Mud Wash: Thin (10:1 water) GW Dark Flesh Stipple Heavy: Vallejo Model Color Orange Brown Stipple light: GW Fiery orange slight touches of devlan mud for depth of color
  3. #1 and #2 of my punk zombies. I couldn't resist going old skool British Punk on the second one. On Deck 1 more punk zombie and a flesh construct.
  4. Table top Malifaux Marches on. Continuing on with the Gen Con Painting list. Here are mindless zombies #3 to 6 and a crooked man. 4 more figs to go for Gen Con. crooked Man Mindless zombie #3 Mindelss Zombie #4 Mindless Zombie #5 Mindless Zombie #6 Crew to date
  5. Not sure how I keep putting this in the wrong forum. If not too much trouble can a mod move to miniature showcase?
  6. While not from the current mindless zombies blister this guy is from the twisted range and I thought to use them as my zombies. Pretty quick and dirty paint job using only 3 layers of paint in any area. Regards,
  7. Back from a 10 month layoff on painting Malifaux and the need to get a crew done for Gen Con. Here is Nic. Comments and Critiques most welcome.

  9. Fair use would most likely side on the purchaser of the copyrighted material. Especially if only copying statistics or "Cards". Question: Is all copying piracy? Answer: No. Copyright gives the owner exclusive rights to reproduce, adapt, publicly distribute, perform and display their work. Nonetheless, the law allows "fair use" of copyrighted material. Fair use permits, in certain circumstances, the use or copying of all or a portion of a copyrighted work without the permission of the owner. Copyrighted works may be used for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. To decide whether a use is "fair use" or not, courts consider, in part: (1) the purpose and character of the use (including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes); (2) the nature of the copyrighted work (giving creative works more protection than factual works); (3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole (including size and quality- i.e. Does the portion represent the "heart" of the work); and (4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work. Courts balance these factors, placing an emphasis on the fourth, however rulings have been unpredictable. Parody may be protected by fair use where the user is actually making a comment on or criticism of the copyrighted material, even if a profit is made from the use. Still, distributing copyrighted software will rarely be fair use because people will use those copies instead of buying the software from the legitimate vendor.
  10. O scale is fine for 28 to 32 mm. Not perfect but workable for terrain pieces. I plan on trying this site out for a kit. Yea... it ain't cheap in O but it'll be fun to build something different. http://www.wildwestmodels.com/Products.html
  11. I second the Reaper Triad it is really tops. I used in on the corpse cart straight. No in between steps. Just Dark, base, highlight. I then thinned Red Gore/tamiya clear red into areas for a little cool red to set off the look. Very easy.
  12. Hmmm did I fail at the rust then....b/c it is supposed to be rust. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement .
  13. Here is the third stalker. Went with the black cloak.
  14. Top work. Bases are good. I'd love to see some solo shots of the kids and Sorrows.
  15. I usually see this happening to folks that prime in high(er) humidity. There isn't a good fix other then strip and start again. You can try and knock it down with a wire brush but it still never is the same as a good coat. Sorry about your luck.
