Hey people just want to bring MiNKSLiNG to your attention.
Rom is the man who got me into miniature painting WAY back in the day. Still remember that old GW plastic space ork and him being REALLY patient and not throwing up when I had finished :top:
Unfortunately he hasnt painted Miniatures for years now (and yes I know I have been pretty slack lately Jim) he is a stupidly talented artist.
However he hasnt been lazing about and is currently having an exhibition in a gallery. I thought his art fits really well with the wyrd style so I asked him to show it off.
Here is his album http://wyrd-games.net/forum/album.php?albumid=100
my main concern was with the flamers, the y altered how they worked in 2nd edition which made them complete poo (that and the introduction of shooty hybrids screwed the entire dynamic of the game)
Modeler only - don't play anything anymore and haven't for years. May try to save some money and pick up a copy of the new spacehulk though (just found out the LGS that I don't use has only sold one of their allotment whereas the LGS I DO support sold all of theirs in the first half an hour they had them!)
People will call me crazy but that doesn't seem like a bad price for that fortress thingy. Of cours it could just be that the NZ dollar vs the pound is at near record highs so it doesn't feel like I am trying to use monopoly money to buy shit at the moment.
I like the cup. Being able to leave the brushes suspended in the wateris a cool idea. I have been reading about using damp brushes to help with blending.
When I used to be a sales rep I was in one of my shops when a women walked in and was "wow when did this shop open?"
The shop had been there for 13 years. It was one of the biggest pet shops in the city.
She had lived 1 km down the same street for the past 20 years.
Sometimes people not knowing about you has nothing to do with you.
10 years ago my cafe had just failed and I had a falling out with my 2 best friends. Was stressed and depressed. Went on a long slow downward spiral (a few ups but mainly downs) which I have only just come out of. Started dating my wife (although how long we will remain married is anyones guess at the moment).
