    I think the issue with the scarf is that it draws the eye from the more obvious focal point which is of course the face. Over all a solid job though.

    The problem I have with a lot of these "action" style poses is that they invariably end up just looking like they are trying to push a fart out.

    Certainly looks like a rough cast but that will suit a rust effect finish.

    The ones from the gencon photos look like they were sculpted by the the guy who did the ilyiad (is that how you spell it?) orcs. Anyone know who did these?

    I usually wear a glove on my "off" hand just in case I inadvertently touch the figure while painting so that would solve your skin exposure problem.

    Yeah have to agree with the above, it looks pretty good to me. Not a comp winner but certainly a solid piece.

    Mainly an inbound role which is the opposite of what I have and to be honest the structure would be pleasant after years of travel. BUT still no word. Will ring them in the morning, possibly the pay packet is giving them headaches.

    Yes the first one was poo! Really the whole alien franchise has been down hill since the third one.

    They have a web hosting service which has about 300 companies and groups websites. I will be their contact to those people making sure they are all happy campers and trying to get them to get website design, printing jobs, rebranding etc done through the design arms. Also will have a couple of key accounts to look after so I know the processes to achieve all of the different services they offer.

    I am a sales rep(tile) I sell pet products to pet shops - mainly specialize in aquarium gear. The job I am going for is with a design company who do websites, branding, printing etc.

    I am well over my current job and started sending out my CV a couple of weeks ago. I find out tomorrow if I have a new job and if they are willing to pay me enough to cover the bills.

    Thats is fantastic work. Unlike EldinTux and Orkydave pieces like this help inspire me to try harder with my painting.

    I got a book on colour theory a while ago. Finally got around to reading it and I honestly think it will change the way I paint. I highly recommend giving Wrens post a number of readings.

    Maybe it's just he doesn't think they are very bright animals?

    Metal figures have mold lines as well. If you are going to paint one yourself you would still have to clean it up. Also plastic would probably mean it was stronger than the current ones since Rackhams metal is so good awful weak. As to the detail, yeah this one looks a bit basic but then some of current wolfen troops are a bit basic and the mounted knights look very detailed.
