  1. Its been a while since I have been here. When I do log in and come to the forums, is there a quick link to see all the new posts and responses since my last visit?
  2. i like the sword. I just dont think it matches the model. Basically, pick one, either the sword orthe axe, but not both. Two swords work, two axes work, a sword and knife combo work. but an axe and a sword, just dont seem to work, unless its on a gladiator type model...
  3. I am prety sure i heard him say that if you are at GenCon then he wil have a copy with him that you ca purchase. But, I have slept since RCon 2008 so I might have heard wrong.
  4. I took two classes with him at ReaperCon last month. His color theory class was awesome. I definately reccomend a class with him.
  5. And here is a tutorial for use in photoshop, but the principles are the same. http://www.pinoy7.com/psptutorials/9/rustandscratches/p1.shtml
  6. Here are a few: http://www.the-waaagh.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=30631&hl= http://ultrawerke.blogspot.com/2007/08/rust-painting-tutorial-with-pigments.html http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=21675? [url=http://www.the-waaagh.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=30631&hl]
  7. Thanks guys. I really enjoyed painting it. But, the camera doesnt lie. I still have a ton of work to do when it comes to smoothing my blends. But, with every mini comes progress and I think i did have a lot of progress with this one. Looking forward to showing more progress with the next one.
  8. I very much enjoyed painting up Tre Manor's Damian Helthorne for Reapercon 2008. I was able to take home a Silver Sophie for this one. After the zoom in I can see where I still have a ton of work in the smoothing of my blends, but overall I am very happy with this piece. It will be fun to see if I can improve more and see how things turn out next year. Thank you for taking the time to look. http://www.coolminiornot.com/191274 . .
  9. I might actually have one of these in my "someday" box. I will check when i get home later.
  10. Well, i guess now it only comes as a pack of a few different minis, he sed to sell it separately: Not an exact t-rex, but still pretty close to one. http://www.dragonbloodminis.com/images/Dragonblood/miniatures/hunter_fight.jpg
  11. also can find a nice one thru Dragonblood minis.
  12. The model itself looks great. Cant say I like all the heads all over it. One or two heads, but not a lot of them looking like he has chickenpox breaking out.
  13. Just saw your site and like the things I see. I didnt realize you had been at Reapercon 2006. Means that I might have already met you and dont remember it. Which means both my memory is already shot.. or just scatter brain...
  14. continuing the theme of filling up the area, you cold try things like: balloons, bouncy balls, unbuttered popcorn, etc... if you are not in the mood to fill things up, then depending on the type of stuff in their work area, you could go about turning everything upside down, backwards, or inside out depending... covering in post it notes is fairly decent, though time consuming. seran wrap is pretty good too. filling up a cube wth peanuts is hilarious but would probably actually be rather expensive on you.
  15. Just did a quick ugly dodge and burn job in photoshop to give a quick example of where I would try and take it. It was easier than trying to explain...
  16. see, now this is service... much appreciated. kewlness thanks!
  17. well the main thing is trying to figure out exactly what kind of foam it is they use for that bendy foam. I recognize the regular blue stuff but not the bendy stuff. And where i would try to find the equivalent of it in the states.
  18. i would say after as it was only this past Wednesday or so that I had done it.
  19. well at least now i see the talent of my adversary. Nice start for sure. I like the base concept too.
  20. changing subjects a bit... just an FYI... i had subscribed to a couple o threads with the email me immediatlely setting... several posts have been done in some of those threads... and no emails have arrived.
  21. Thanks for sharing. After the IP is over, I will definately be giving some of this a try.
