Emberlost
So dumb newbie question here: How big is a big game of Malifaux? My guess is somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 soulstones.
LordZombie
Nope, 50ss is standard. 100ss would be a big game, and kinda fun.
NoHero
I would say 75 or higher. 25 is mini, 35 small, and 50 standard.
zFiend
I have to try a 100ss game at some point.
mythicFOX
Standard size is 40-50ss, once you go over 50 it start's to get big. I've personally never looked to go above 50. I can't see Malifaux being a game which gains anything by playing bigger games.

I can't remember seeing anything stating 40-50 is standard (other than the perception of the tournament community)? 50 is the balance point according to the rulebooks, so anything above is essentially big. I guess 75 would give you a similar model count to the old 1st edition Brawl.
HalcyonSeraph
I can't remember seeing anything stating 40-50 is standard (other than the perception of the tournament community)? Gaining Grounds suggests 50ss as a standard tournament size, and way back during M2E development they always said that 50ss is the new 35ss.
CrouchingMoose
100ss would be ridiculous in terms of the number of models on the board. 70-75 would be more reasonable in my opinion. Doing a little bit of math conversions here but: If 35ss in 1.5ed = 50ss in 2ed Then the conversion ratio is about 5:7 So if we apply this ratio to the old 1.5ed brawls game size of 50ss, it comes out to 70ss. 100ss in 2nd edition would be equivalent to arround 70ss in 1.5 edition.
