hypoking
Thought I'd get ahead of the encroaching wave of 'Hey, look at my Tara crew' threads. Forgive the poor photo quality, I'm a bit of a nub at this. Group shot Tara Open Spoiler Little guys Open Spoiler Big 'un Open Spoiler Anyway, let me know what you think. Boshea
Really dig the dirty look and bases. The wings from the GW Plague drones?
hypoking
Yup, most of the bases come from that kit actually. Some of the tentacle bits are off off PP's Proteus kit. My desk was littered with half assembled kits, figured I could some use out of them. Figured a dead tyrant would leave a whole lot of corpse to frolic around on top of. nagash13
i like them. if i was to suggest anything, it would be to add a few spots of pop color that are opposite of your main colors on the color wheel. for example, you have a good amount of green, so some bloody wounds, or pools of red blood make nice spot colors. this breaks up the color pallette and can help draw the eye where you want on the model. just an idea. creative basing. i'm painting a unit of those flies now. ill have to post them to my paint blog on here when i finally finish them. Chromophile
Our ways of treating the models are different. I really like your minimalistic approach. Why didn't I think about it before painting. But like what nagash13 mentioned, some spots of complementary colors will defnitely make the models pop out. dgraz
Sweet. I like the minimalist approach as well....looks great. However, I do agree with Nagash that just a few spots of complementary color will really make them pop. And anything that re-purposes another systems toys....and make it look so good.......is always a bonus.
