attacking your own models?

Put simply how does it work? if i want to attack my own guy do i still flip attack and defence or do i just choose to fail defence and go strait to damage flip and if so is it an un modified flip? i am playing a guy who has lilith and likes to murder his own gupps tonight and i really need to know how this works.

I believe only with Wp you can choose to tie. With defence you always need to cheat.

That's not entirely true. WIth Attacks(i.e. strikes), you need to flip both, and use final totals(after cheating).

With casts, you need to flip the resist, but cn choose to fail at :-fate

That is what I meant with the defence one, thank you for clarifying, it is a much better reply than mine. But still unsure what you mean with the casting.

Spells use the cast(#AP) action. With spells(and only spells, AFAIK), you can choose to fail the resist(regardless of which stat you use to defend, be it DF, CA, or WP).

yes

you are the attacker and defender you flip for both models and cheat for both models.

if you use an attack spell on your own model you can choose to tie it (eg fail it to receive the effects)

As the others have stated, this is only for spell resists, and no other kind of attacks. You need to actually cheat either the attack or defense if you desire a hit on your own guys.

It's clarified on the first paragraph on Pg51 of the Rules Manual.

Something to keep in mind. If the target of the attack is in Defensive Stance three cards are flipped and one chosen. The card chosen can be the lowest card as well.
