*Jack*
Hey all, Have a tournament coming up in november, apparently models dont have to be painted, but I'm pretending that they do, otherwise I'll never get them done So I'm going neverborn, I have a whole dreamer crew to paint up, and some models for other masters like pandora. I hope to have jakob, and he'll have his own thread, but until then I'll post his stuff in here. Here's my Dreamer and lord chompy :3 Sorry for some of the bad pics :/ Blood on LCBs hands was an experiment, I normally hate gore effects. Anyway, it turned out alright, but I wouldnt be rushing to try it again. Mysterious effigy: Colour scheme shamelessly looted from a post I saw on these forums. A lot of fun to paint, and very quick, so happy with the result. Jack daw for my jakob lynch poker crew, Cards and poker chips will be all over the floor of the casino: And finally, Graves for the crew. I'm going to go back and tidy up the carpet, didnt come out half as nice as I was hoping. Will also throw a poker chip or two onto the base: ---------- Post added at 01:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:49 PM ---------- Next up are some alps and some daydreams, possibly the arcane effigy. Here's the alps, assembled with some minor conversion. They'll be walking through creepy portraits into this reality, like portals. One stepping out of a painting on the floor, one holding a frame with another alp coming out of it (They summon eachother so I thought that made sense) and finally, a wall in the orphanage with a painting on, and an alp just coming through. *Jack*
Damn good basing...love it. Cheers The idea is I can make them a casino for lynch, an orphanage for chompy, etc, but all models will look reasonably similar so I can mix them Your brushwork & basing are TERRIFIC...VERY WELL DONE! AND the new Creepy Portraits are inspired pieces...VERY IMAGINATIVE/CREATIVE! Haha thank you I've seen someone do the portraits before so I can't claim credit for it

*Jack*
Some painting in progress... Insidious madness, Happy with the tentacles so far, except the orange. Orange looks bad, but I'm pleased with the blending on the red, purple and especially the green Daydream. Pay no attention to the purple, it needs to be blended to look good, but I just wanted feedback on the base. Meant to look like those kids toy blocks, not sure whether to paint the letters in the centre in the same colour as the edge. Finally, I'm sculpting a teddy... I should say, my sculpting is terrible, I just wanted a project to use my spare GS on. I definitely will not be doing the head, I will steal one off a nightmare teddy, as he came with two
*Jack*
A tiny pathetic update, but I've updated some pics of the models to better quality ones, and I started painting the alps, was very pleased with how this wall came out: Mechrite red, devlan mud wash, highlight up with straight mechrite, mechrite and grey, or mechrite and brown to create the brick pattern. (I dont use GW paints, I use vallejo.)
*Jack*
Finished alps: Havent done the paintings yet, I keep trying and they look quite bad. I can just about paint a portrait in that scale, but things get a lot harder when you have hands and legs coming out and in the way :/ Nevertheless, I'll revisit them at some point. Finished madness: This became a real chore towards the end when I ran out of colour ideas for the tentacles, and they started to look bad. I eventually want 2 of these, so the next one I think will have all its tentacles the same colour, probably the yellow/green one. Oh, and einen doppleganger. Lot of fun, skin looks bad in this pic but its a bit nicer, the back was a lot of fun to paint As always, comments, crits and feedback always appreciated

Guild Monkee
Love the alp conversions, really like the amount of creepiness that it adds.
Viruk
The Alps look great and the way you arranged everything fluff-wise is a great touch. I also like the colorful version of IM, looks even more out of control
