lbd
I haven't seen a lot of photos yet of painted Misaki stuff so I decided to share mine. Also I've been so completely impressed with the new plastics they inspired me to paint, which is no small feat these days. My first model is Shang. I've always wanted to paint a fire model. This is actually my first attempt at painting fire. I'm rather pleased with how it came out, and it was much easier than I expected it to be. Sorry the pics aren't better, I'm dealing with a sub par camera right now.
Grenoir
That looks great, I really like him! What technique did you use?
osoi
Shang looks really nice. Keep up with the good work. Painting fire is good fun.
DeusInnomen
Nice work so far. I, too, would like to hear your technique. Looks like you did a yellow base coat followed by darker red highlights and dry brushing?
lbd
Right on, thanks! My technique is just layering with fairly wet paint. White basecoat x 2 Very lite yellow basecoat on top of that. Then I went from lite orange to dark red in 5 steps. Simple as that!
Viruk
Simple yet very effective, he looks great!
DangerousBeans
He looks great! I'm rubbish at glow effects, don't think I have the patience! Hope mine turns out half as decent as yours!
