Demonn Agram
so now it's: 1. - 1/2 2. - 2 1/2 3. - 4 I'll let it stew for a while yet. So feel free to express your oppinion
SteamHammer
3, but if you want the easier option then 1. 2 just looks odd.
Fettster
I'd go with 3 too.Maybe drill them out from underneath and drop some yellow/fluorescent paint in for the flame? Leigh
Demonn Agram
they are hollow - so no problem there might not opt ot do that because I'll then have to paint the OSL on the walls... Not really in the mood for OSLing 30 odd lamps
SteamHammer
Just say it's day time. I did that when I used a lamp post on a model after five minutes of wondering how to paint the light effects coming off it.
Demonn Agram
my point exactly
Mako
Definitely 3. But what's this taking the sensible route to avoid a crazy paint job? That's not the way it's supposed to happen! *wink*
Demonn Agram
@Mako: that's funny, perhaps I should do your resin paintings in 28mm scale and put it as pictures on the walls as well? LOL To sum up so far: 1. - 1 2. - 2 1/2 3. - 6 1/
Mako
You've said it now, so I expect to see it! Lol. I do love terrain threads, I've never ventured into making it before and this is nice and inspiring.
Demonn Agram
thanks! I guess I've stepped into it now.. OK, I'll try and do it, but not for this particular building. I'll try to do it on my Governor's mansion piece... (why am I so easily persuadable?)
Demonn Agram
well after two days the scoring here is: 1. - 1 2. - 2 1/2 3. - 6 1/2 the scoring over on Wamp forum (where I asked the same question) is: 1. - 0 2. - 3 3. - 2 so overall score is: 1. - 1 2. - 5 1/2 3. - 8 1/2 I guess the most complicated wins! thanks guys for the help
Demonn Agram
well, I did do some work on the "Peterdita" project. painted it a bit.. the whole terrain now looks like this: and I filled the huge gap between the root and the two halves of the trunk with a chain and I masked the gap at the top of the tree between the two parts of the trunk by adding a piece of real branch (and removed the corpses): now I need to green stuff the other gaps (branches and the vertical between two halves of the trunks)... and finish the paintjob.. Viruk
Nooooo, put Nathan and Eric back on the tree, they belong there! As weird as it sounds, my first impression of the tree was that it's missing a vital element. Still, if you manage to make up for lack of the hanged with other bits like this chain, it will probably work well in the end
Demonn Agram
I removed them to paint them separately. They will probably go back in the end after the whole thing is painted and flocked. (if the composition of the piece will allow it, they are going back...) Viruk
That's probably good idea, I was struggling while working on mine, especially on Nathan as he's placed upside down. Small thing, but it did make the painting experience much more challenging.

Pagan Wolfe
Unburied models immediately kill themselves in shame. Unless they are pigs and Gremlins! True story, rural Vietnam, the toilet in the the village was a fairly large building. When you looked down the hole just a few feet below were all of these hungry little pigs looking back up at you. Don't. Fall. In. Don't. Eat. Pork. There.
