iamthefly
Hi, What scale are Malifaux minis? I'm looking for a replacement for Bete Noire because I think she looks drunk. Was thinking about somthing like this http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/03475 Cheers
Da Big Baws
32mm I believe
LonelyPath
Yep, Malifaux are 32mm heroic scale. If you are going with a Reaper miniature, be sure it's in the correct scale first since they vary greatly in their scales from 25mm upwards (they do make a lot of gorgeous minis though!). (TV)
32 mm. I find it's heroic "ish" but admittedly depends on each model, with masters usually getting more "face." As an example, compare the proportion of Rusty Alyce to Leveticus, and you will see what I mean. Regards, TV
AvatarForm
Malifaux isnt true scale nor is it Heroic. Space Marines are Heroic. Look at their heads, hands and weapons. Malifaux masters have larger heads in most cases, but the remainder of the sculpts are more True scale for their scale.
FoeRender
yeah its a in between heroic and true scale . But when it comes to female you can get away with smaller sometimes .
shuttler
Out of interest, is it that you just don't like the original miniature? What's the rules on playing proxy minis in tournaments?
AvatarForm
The mini, like many from recent waves, is 2-Dimensional in its sculpting. It lacks presence on the tabletop and is only appealing when viewed from directly in front. Even the back and lower portions of it seem "forgotten" or rushed by the sculptor.
