hard 2 kill Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 So i got to play my first Malifaux games on the weekend. My warhammer club is quickly turning in to a malifaux club. any ways i played 2 25ss games one against Sonnia and one against Marcus. We are all pretty much noobs with only the Sonnia player having played a couple games before.I used the Gunslingers box. Game 1: Perdita boxset vs Sonnia Boxset This game was over prettyfast with the mighty ortegas proving a great pick for my first crew. i got first turn and moved forward as fast as i could to get to the tresure for (tresure hunt). Sonnias crew came out and did the same but stayed bunched up. Samael took some shots at Papa and knocked five wounds off him. Perdita moved and picked up the tresure and "obeyed" Papa to charge the clumbed up crew of Sonnia he got to one inch then used "thrown Dynamite" which went off with 3blast this wounded all the stalkers and Samael and killed Papa which made him BOOM! killing all the stalkers and Samael. for the rest of the game it was perdita high tailing back to her DZ for max VP and the rest of my crew taking shots at Sonnia who after some pretty lucky flips fell to a hail of lead. Game 2 Vs Marcus Boxset This game went a bit differently. My fellow noob player in this game had treasure hunt and i hade stake a claim. so i ran papa to pretty much sit on the their treasure ASAP Nino ended up on a hill where with the help of Perditas obey and a "trigger happy" trigger did away with Sabertooth Cerberus after it had lept all to close in their first turn. Marcus ended up killing perdita but felt the wrath of her 2 brothers who were close by and he fell to their blades. Myranda slowly killed Santiago. But she also died thanks to Franciscos dueling sword. Papa loco and theRattler had a to and fro at the tresure marker for the entire game where papa fell but left the rattler with 1 wound which was soon taken by nino on the hill. These were my first 2 outings in malifaux and i cant tell u enough how much i enjoyed it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like their playstyle, I like the models, and I like their theme and fluff. Papa: I see a lot of people hating on Papa, but in my limited experience, I have not learned to regret taking him.
