  1. The Guild is an organization, but it is an immense organization with a lot of strong personalities that are pursuing their own agendas. None of the four Masters are going to blindly follow orders if they have qualms regarding what their told to do. Currently, they are all part of the Guild because it fits their agenda.
  2. The guys on the Aethervox podcast have a great reoccurring section in the podcast that features original fiction that one writes and the other narrates (I believe). I've enjoyed it, so far. Due to some deadline issues, in their most recent podcast they narrated one of the fan fiction stories from the forum that was very good, as well, but I'm sure they will be back on schedule with their own original fiction, soon.
  3. That's what I thought. Seduction is strong, but a little difficult to pull off.
  4. If the Dead Doxy casts Seduction as part of the Inviting Approach action, does she have the +2 and Tome to her Ca during the casting? If not, you are going to need a 7 of Tomes to pull off the Seduction. If so, wow, she is good.
  5. In your discussion of Violation of Magic, you point out that the spell does wounds and not damage. While this is good to note if you are targeting something with Armor (or Magic Resistance), it doesn't matter when targeting Spirits since they take full damage from spells, anyway.
  6. The Plumber Outcast - 30 mm Base - Soulstone Cost: 6 Mercenary, Rare 2 Wk/Cg: 4/6, Ht: 1, Wp: 5, Ca: 4, Df: 5, Wd: 6 Weapon: Wrench, Rg: melee 2", Cb: 4, Dg: 1/2/3 Talents: Abilities: Two Brothers: A Crew cannot hire more than two Plumbers. Map of the Sewers: After all models are deployed, but before the game begins, place two Pipe Markers on the board. These markers cannot be placed within 8" of any objective markers. Actions: (0) Hold Down B: This model receives Fast. (0) Mystery Box: This model heals 1 Wd. This model becomes Ht 2 and receives one of the following effects until it suffers a Wd or uses this ability again: Fire Flower: This model gains Weapon: Fireball, Rg: ranged 8", Cb 5, Dg 2/3/5. A defender damaged by Fireball gains one Burning Token. Floating Leaf: The model gains Float and Weapon: Tail Hit, melee 1", Cb 6, Dg 3/4/5. Flashing Star: This model receives +3 Df. (1) Down the Pipe: If this model is in base contact with a Pipe Marker, place it in base contact with another Pipe Marker. This model's controller is required to make the appropriate sound effect when using this ability.
  7. God bless you, little gremlin. If there is one thing this game needs, that is a go-to place for settled rule clarifications that doesn't require searching through more than two years of posts.
  8. I'm a little disappointed by the inclusion of the Guild Autopsy in the Dead Justice box, but I think the other four models will fit right in.
  9. The Desperate Mercs are more for the Guild and for Nicodem when I eventually evolve to him.
  10. I have a little experience with Perdita and Sonnia, but I'm going to expand to the Resurrectionists. I have the Dead Justice box, and I plan to order the Red Chapel Gang and build from there. I plan to order: The Red Chapel Gang boxset A Grave Spirit A blister of Hanged A couple of Desperate Mercenaries (for the Guild and the Rezzers) I plan to eventually move to playing Nicodem, but I thought since he is so model intensive, starting with Seamus would be a better option. Does anyone see any glaring omissions in my original order? Anything that I'm going to kick myself for not picking up the first time I try to play Seamus? Thanks
  11. Something similar to what they did with Hamelin? Maybe Francisco or Samael get a promotion to Henchman because their associated Masters are too busy elsewhere in the story line. I'm comfortable with this as long as they don't go overboard. I don't want them crossing a line where it starts to get a little too complicated. "No, this is the third version of the Judge where he's wielding Justice's Greatsword, not the fourth version where he's missing his left arm". Summary: Could be fun, but don't over do it.
  12. Where does it say that only one Avatar can be hired for a Brawl. The rules appear to allow you to attach an Avatar to each Master if you bring to Masters to a Brawl.
  13. I noticed that the new rulebook says "Players must announce what Masters in their Crews have attached Avatars, but not specifically which Avatars, when announcing their Crew compositions." The phrase "not specifically which Avatars" implies that Masters will have multiple choices for Avatars in the future. This is an interesting implication, and I'm excited to see what they do with this. It gives Wyrd the option to expand the game without adding Masters. Besides just adding minions, they can add Masters, they can add Henchmen, and they can add Avatars for the existing Masters. I've been concerned about how they keep the game evolving without making old Masters obsolete while keeping things fresh, and I think that having new Avatar choices for existing Masters will help. I foresee a future when I can play Lady Justice and choose between attaching the Avatar of Balance, the Avatar of Stoicism, and the Avatar of Corsets. Then again, I could just reading too much into the wording.
  14. It is a (0) action and is not a duel, just a flip.
  15. Mass Grave does not state that the flip is cheatable. Are all flips cheatable unless it specifically says otherwise? But, yes, Mass Grave is good. A (0) action to get zombies with no cost.
