Mandoryan
Was just curious what everyone thinks of Nicodem without using the vulture totems. No idea when the models will be out and I'm too lazy to proxy without suitable models
nilus
Its very doable. The Vultures are cool but you can play him without them. The Vultures allow for an extra level of protection but he can be very deadly without them. Edited October 29, 2009 by nilus

goblyn13
In the meantime, you can always use the vulture on the Sewer bases accessory piece. He's not likely to be as cool as the totem but its the vulture currently on Nicodem's arm.
blkdymnd
I don't proxy anything, so I've been playing without them and doing ok.
Persevering1
Got to disagree... Nicodem needs the Vultures. The ability to raise Mindless Zombies through use of Decay -behind- your opponent's advance is too important. Also, Nicodem is best kept safe far away from the advance. Vultures let him sit in a room stories up from the main combat. Personally, I would hesitate to field Nicodem without two Vultures until a strong argument is articulated otherwise. Thats what Arise is for really and that doesnt need LOS. I admit decay through vultures is good but its not the end all be all. You can still easily cast a lot other spells(like reanimator) while behind a crew of undead to defend you. Meanwhile you can buff them and drop newly summon monsters(Summoning doesn't require LOS). The Vultures are good, don't get me wrong. But they are fragile and expensive. They are hardly the be all end all of a Nico Crew. Until you are over the 30 SS mark those 4 points are better spent on other undead units honestly(Necro-Punks, Punk Zombies or Dogs) Edited October 30, 2009 by nilus
Mandoryan
Thanks guys, that's brilliant. I'll have to give him a go this weekend without the vultures! p.s. Nathan, you've got me on the edge of my seat to see these vulture models now!
