Angus Khan
How did you make the sewer perfectly round and the lines so straight? Time and patience... plus some spaghetti westerns.
Angus Khan
Sorry its been such a long time since an update... sometimes life can get busy. Here are a few more bases; a 40mm, a 50mm (with a little more work to do - I'm going to add one of the fancy new lamp posts) and an unfinished 30mm. The blue thing is a coffee stirrer that I am modifying into a pipe. Although I still have two and a half bases to finish sculpting (35 SS worth of spiders + swarms = a lot of bases), I decided to go ahead and start painting the ones I've got. Here is my in progress Ramos on a painted base: C&C welcome! Edited September 17, 2009 by Angus Khan
Grimwolf
Ramos is lookin' goood! Oh, and the bases are good too .
Magno
Yeah, you might have to do a step by step with pictures of how you do those bases. The stones are clean and realistic. I've sculpted a few flat stone bases and I always end up with folded edges or "pulled" into the neighboring rock. If I press straight down, then it looses the nice flatness look you've got going on. Slinkdawg
Awesome job on the bases. I may have to play around with green stuff again, the streets really give a nice feel to the Malifaux minis.

Angus Khan
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Sorry its been a while since any update...life has been a little busy and I put down the putty and paintbrush for a while... As I ease back into sculpting, I have been working on repairing my Joss mini. When I was at GenCon, Joss' left hand broke off, and since then, the "cable" connected to his axe has broken into no less than four pieces as I tried to repair it. Eventually, I stopped trying to repair the old one, and instead made a new cable from some old guitar wire. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the results so far: More to come soon! @Magno: Don't worry, I haven't forgot about that step by step I promised you... I actually took some pics of a base I was working on but wouldn't you know most of the pics turned out all blurry... *sigh*... I'll do another base and then post it up.
