callumrice
Afraid so Hinton. Ive pretty much had enough. I neither have the time nor the patience to continue with it. I have been pondering it for a while, its not a rash decision but its definately a final decision. I dunno, I guess I just get frustrated with lack of progress. I know it seems like im a quitter and well maybe I am but its just not fun for me anymore. The forums are, I love coming on and chatting with you guys about minis, ive just had enough painting them. So, like I say, theres plenty of stuff going on in the next couple of days, including a whack of GW paints, including all 18 foundation paints. God knows how im going to get a post price for them. callumrice
And sorry deamonherald, its already listed on Ebay. Maybe someone will take up the baton for me and continue with it!...
Hinton
Afraid so Hinton. Ive pretty much had enough. Awww...that blows. Just a friendly piece of advice, but don't sell off the painting gear; take a break, even if it's for like a year or two. That way, if you decide to start painting again, you don't have to re-invest into all of that stuff. If you decide you still want to completely quit, then sell it off. demonherald
in terms of pricing for posting you could go one of two ways....check out what other people are offering postage at.. or weigh them in a box and go on the Royal mail website to get a rough evaluation.. This is sad news indeed I agree with Hinton don't get rid of everything I went through a 6-7 year break before I finally picked the brushes back up.. Oh and I may well be purchasing that Phoenix and finishing it for ya... still sad sad day...
Hinton
Ok, gotta ask: There's a couple of minis that I'm interested in, but I live in the States. Any idea on postage or just wing it?
Duende
That's sad because you really are a great painter. So "ditto" to what DH and Hinton said. And to be helpful the "unidentified Wargames mini" (Item number: 170169717597) is a Crunch-Waffle - Kestensia, sea elf, sculpted by Gael Goumon. Do you have any idea what you would charge for shipping to the US?
callumrice
Postage wont be much Hinton, its not too bad but obviously it will depend on what your in for. The "one mini" auctions are likely to cost little over £2.50 (about $5.00) to post. Also, ive just slapped on the Xbox360 if anyone is interested! I expect this to go for much more than my initial asking price though!

As regards postage, like i said to Hinton, I think single minis are about $5 to post, obviously it will be more for something a bit bigger. I have more to list and will do so as soon as I have had some sleep, and gone to work, and come home again!
Hinton
Holy crap! You're selling an Xbox? Ok, minis I can understand, but selling off the video game console? Maybe if you're doing it to get a PS3...
callumrice
Haha, I wish! Nah, I need to get out and socialise a bit more Hinton. I used to go out all the time, go to the gym, play football, pool, get wrecked, the usual but ive mellowed over the past year, and got a bit fatter. This is a big push to get me back to the gym and to keep myself a bit fitter. I know though, an xbox360? I must be insane....
callumrice
Right, Im done listing. Thats everything on now and like I said, if anyone is interested in any of it just PM me and ill see what I can do. The phoenix is by far favourite at the moment with 16 watchers already. Hinton
That's some pretty cool stuff. Glad to see you didn't list things like paint and brushes; unless you made a private deal for that stuff, that means you might, just might, get back into the hobby some time down the road. I'm definitely keeping an eye on a few auctions (not the Phoenix, though). Good luck with the auction and everything else.
DrEvilmonki
And don't worry everyone, I had a break of almost 10 years before I got back into painting (and no it's not worth keeping your paints that long)
Sculpta the squig
Sad to see you leave, but I sent you a PM Squig
Brushmistress
I hope you can come back to painting one day. I've had some friends who were in the hobby for decades just one day decide they were done. I know that I am constatly frustrated with sell prices of models and having no time to paint something I really want to. I just keep hoping that things will get better as I continue to fill my apartment with minis and painting gear. Don't be a stranger at the forums.
