EricJ
Another of my GDLA07 entries, this one ended up with bronze in a tough tough 40k single category. Went for something of a different look for tau, a little more feet on the ground gett'n dirty look, just for fun Votey Link thanks! Malebolgia
Ooooooooh, pretty! Love what you did with the model. It almost has an Unreal Tournament look to it and I love it.
supervike
YES! I really like it. The gritty realness sells it for me. Congrats!
Illustrange
is that a conversion ? Im not too familliar with GW miniatures, but cant remember ever having seen a tau like that only the hair seems a bit weird (sculpt, not the paint, wich is excellent )
goblyn13
is that a conversion ? Im not too familliar with GW miniatures, but cant remember ever having seen a tau like that only the hair seems a bit weird (sculpt, not the paint, wich is excellent ) Its one of the new Tau GW recently added to the line: http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tau/catalog/shadowsun.htm she comes with Choice of heads, but IMHO the helmet makes her look goofy. mozart
Very nice. I love the more dark look. Tau come off a little cartoony a lot of the time. And the pose is dynamic. It's like she's saying: "I'm 'bout to shoot cho' face." That's what the Tau lettering says, isn't it?

r2-j1
You work never fails to impress. I'm glad to finally see the stuff you won the demons with. I am struck by the amazing use of shadow on this mini, a feat I am most envious of.
Maestro
H*ly crap, that IS good.. Well done Mr. Shody!!
Vytis
Excellent, excellent work, Eric. Putting her name upon the display base in the Tau script is a nice touch, too.
matty1001
Although it is a little rougher than your other stuff for GD it's still excellent. But seems to lack the thought put into focal points and spot colours like the others had. My favorite bit has to be the writing on the plinth. EricJ
I know what you mean Matty, the eye doesn't have much to focus on, the piece is a flat in that regard I agree. I've been thinking about doing a squad of fire warriors for next year in a similar theme, dirtied up nicely, but I'll have to figure a way to up the accents. I think perhaps if I added red panels as an accent in the right places it may work nicely...
