I think it is that they are to far apart for human eyes, or somehow to frontal for lion's eyes (might be a "distorted" look due to a short muzzle too). Also the mouth isn't muscly enough. Oh, and when lions roar they go all sqinty. Plus the feet are wolfy, not liony. Ah well, guess I'm too critical. Helps my wallet though.
