The Stab-It Rabbit joins the Wyrd Easter lineup! This alt model represents the Lone Swordsman reimagined as he takes on new challenges with blade in hand. If you are looking to add some-bunny handy with a sword to your Crews (or just want some advice on using the Lone Swordsman), check out some tips and tricks from the design team:

Stab-it Rabbit

The Stab-it Rabbit is a sturdy Versatile model that can put out a lot of damage over the course of a Turn. Df 5, Armor +1 and Hard to Kill means the Stab-it Rabbit will take a lot of resources to kill. Adaptive and Ruthless means that its Balanced Sword is able to do minimum 3 damage by declaring r building in the Critical Strike Trigger. This will decimate models where Terrifying or Manipulative is their only Defensive Tech like Lady Yumi or Ledger de Main. The Stab-it Rabbit is also good against models with anti-Charge Tech like Extended Reach or Disguised as Creep Along and Last Breath both include a Push.

All of this is without focusing on the Stab-it Rabbit’s unique Action Last Breath. Last Breath does a lot. It pushes the Stab-it Rabbit 5”, allows the Stab-it Rabbit to take a yAction and gives the Stab-it Rabbit +’s to Attack and Damage flips until the end of the Activation. This is the equivalent of a Charge and Focus, and gets around Disguised or Extended Reach. This means the Stab-it Rabbit can potentially do 12 points of damage to an opponent that is not prepared for it. It’s not all positive as Last Breath cannot target Minions and will do 4 irreducible damage to the Stab-it Rabbit if he does not kill his target.

Getting the Most Out of the Stab-it Rabbit

The Stab-it Rabbit is a model that works well with most Ten Thunders Crews as damage is always valuable. That said, he works especially well with Qi and Gong thanks to his Tactical Planning Trigger which allows him to generate Pass Tokens to use with Leverage. Adaptive is a very good Ability that gives him a lot of options on his turn. Outside of using it to build in the Critical Strike Trigger, Adaptive allows him to Slow two enemy models with Delay, gain two Pass Tokens with Tactical Planning, or swing four times with Quick Reflexes. Depending on the situation, any of these options may win a game which is even better than killing a single model.

If the Stab-it Rabbit focuses on Last Breath, it benefits from being paired with a model that can Heal as it won’t always finish off its target. Hiring a Tanuki or Low River Monk to follow behind a Stab-it Rabbit allows him to be more aggressive with Last Breath. Last Breath is most effective against Enforcers and Enforcer-heavy crews as it cannot target Minions and Soulstone damage prevention is a big problem for the Stab-it Rabbit.

That’s all for this week, Wyrdos. Full details about the sale and what’s available will be coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, start devising some fun springtime lists filled with your favorite alts. I hear taking a few War Rabbits is definitely in season this year…
