  1. I'll be honest; I would hate to see any of the current keywords go away. However, I definitely respect a company willing to take radical steps to push the narrative forward. It's certainly more creative than, "in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only new codices for twice the price."
  2. Looks like it was a great time! I got stuck in Shanghai for work this year, but you'll definitely see me next year. Can't wait!
  3. Stab-it Rabbit is a BEAUTIFUL sculpt. He's definitely going to be part of every Ten Thunders crew I run.
  4. What I can't figure out is where Dr. Silas and Trial and Error fit in. Their faction is Outcasts, but the two keywords live in Guild (Asylum) and Neverborn (Half-blood). They aren't listed as versatile. I'm just confused about them.
  5. Most DEFINITELY on my buy list. I was the biggest fan of Usagi Yojimbo when I was younger.
  6. "Who do you think this mysterious train-man could be?" A definite new full keyword purchase. 🙂
  7. I got my goodies... but now I have the same problem that I did with Horrible Hare-Iette. Now I have a cool model without a crew. What a fun problem to have!
  8. If the web store doesn't update exactly at midnight... I'll just wait longer. 🙂
  9. "So many small, spindly bits that I just know will break over time," while that may be true, it's just a better excuse to try another paint scheme without a lot of stripping! 🙂
  10. I'm waiting for the GenCon sale like a five year old waits for Christmas!
  11. I have said it before, and stick by it; the entire webstore is my wish list. 🙂
  12. No worries. It will just give me that much more available funds for the GenCon sale. 🙂
  13. I'm sorry for this, but when are these sets going to hit the online store? I'm trying to be patient, but I really want them.
  14. I'm definitely getting a set. Between this, Brine and Bones (which I keep missing), and It's Alive!, my painting dance card is FULL. The Skeleton King set fits perfectly with The Damned. Now I just need to get a base size and count to order the sculpted bases.
  15. That's OK. I guess I'll busy myself with Witch Hunter and Urami crews. Credit cards get so sad if you leave them alone for too long. 🙂
  16. That's OK. I was simply using those numbers as examples. It all comes down to price vs. perceived value. The age old question, "is it worth it?" In my case, I feel that yes, Wyrd does provide great value for money spent. Value over cost is a big thing for me. I'm the type of guy who wouldn't bat an eye at a $150 steak dinner at Morton's, but will complain up a storm when the Big Mac combo gets a $0.50 price hike. 😁
  17. Grrrr... I have to work over that weekend. You'll be having fun at GenCon, and I'll be stuck working in Germany. I hope you all have an amazing time! I WILL be there next year.
  18. Coming from other systems, I have to admit that Malifaux models do have a bit of a learning curve. But then I stumbled upon the absolute best thing to ever work putting these together. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement This stuff is amazing. It's a rapid bonding plastic cement that is the consistency of water. It comes with a fine detail brush in the cap. When you've dry fitted your model together, grab the brush and hold it to the joint. capillary action will pull the glue into the crack. No excess, no blobs, and bonds in 30 seconds. You will love how well this stuff works.
  19. Between this and the dancing fungus zombies, does this mean we're getting Resurrectionist and Guild starter boxes? PLEASE let that be the case! Pretty please? I haven't had a good "hobby spending" argument with my wife in days! 😁
  20. I honestly think the price point is very appropriate and affordable. I'm not coming in as an apologist, and I'm not affiliated with the company in any way. Let's take, for example, Reva. If I decide I want to play the Revenant keyword, it would cost me $129 at the current prices to get every model in that keyword. That gives me way more models than I would ever need to play, adding some variety to the crews I can field. Let's further say that I want more variety than this gives me. In the same token, I could further buy every Resurrectionist versatile kit, five more boxes, for $200 at current prices. $329 gives me a ton of models that are fun to paint, and way more than I will ever need. Now let's take the example a little further. I decide I just don't like the Revenant keyword. The versatile models are still useful for any Resurrectionist crew I field. I could buy every box in the Redchapel keyword for $102.50, and still have access to all of the versatile models, as well as the mourners from the Reva purchase, to build the crew that I want. I guarantee you that the other company mentioned in this thread will never have a price point that would allow you to field two complete, tournament-ready armies for less than $450. The last time that was possible was in 1986.
