2023 Monthly painting challenge - March

Bah Humbug, March was a busy month outside of hobbying, so I got nothing done in March.

I did do some hobby stuff reorganization and found some partially finished models, so I finished something last night (April 2nd) and am posting it here as my Mulligan buyback for March.  This Autumn Knight was base colors (no shading), except for hair (just primer), and from before my contrast paint days.  I added shading to give some depth to the armor and did his hair.  It's a really muted scheme overall that fits late autumn after the leaves have fallen, but I don't super like it.  Thorn and Tooth will be brighter and hopefully more fun.

I remember reading somewhere around M2E when they were initially released, that the three knights were supposed to represent different seasons (and Aeslin would represent autumn). Not sure if that was official lore or just a forum conversation somewhere. In any case, that helped me a lot in making painting these three more fun. This one I themed winter-y, the sword gal is summer, and the Harley Quinn lookalike is spring.

But yours look nice - I can imagine creeping that dude towards me, unseen, in a forest somewhere. I'd rather not, but I can!

They were individual models in 2E, each with their own card (spring, summer and winter). So it was very much official lore😉
