Pallas4
Hi Imagine Melissa stunned. She charges and uses clockwork grenade Do we count the Grenade action in her action limit? Bonus action doesn't count but But with stunned, it counts. But with charge, it doesn't count. So in that case, I wonder, what rule to use to count the actions? Remember It's a Stunned Melissa. 1 Stunned is "stronger", so charge 1 Action and the generated clockwork grenade is also 1 action? (so 2 actions for one charge) 2 Charge is "stronger" so it's 1 action for complete charge ? Does this rule can be used? (if yes, it's the 1) Thanks
0 solkan
Stunned is contradting (and changing) the fact that actions don’t count against a model’s action limit when taken on their own. That ‘actions generated by other actions don’t count’ is one you didn’t quote, by the way. It has no effect on whether generated actions are counted, because they don’t get counted. Note that neither Stunned or Charge have any interaction with the ‘once per activation’ limit on taking actions.
0 Maniacal_cackle
Hmmm... So the rules affecting this are: Her bonus counts against her action limit (stunned) She may charge and take an action that ignores the action limit. So could she walk + charge + take the bonus as a result of the charge while stunned? Yes, I'd say so. Just like she could walk + charge + take a regular attack while stunned. Charge + grenade is still one action even if stunned I believe (although it will use up your OPA bonus action and you cannot grenade again). 0 solkan
Just to be clear, as well... Anybody can charge and take a bonus action as their generated melee action. But there’s usually no point in doing so, because the bonus action is normally free (and doubly free doesn’t get you anything). And there aren’t very many actions (or for the Run-and-Gun crowd...) so it’s really limited in application. If you’re stunned, then that actually gives you a reason to charge+bonus action, if that action is applicable to the situation.
Question

Hi
Imagine Melissa stunned.
She charges and uses clockwork grenade
Do we count the Grenade action in her action limit?
Bonus action doesn't count but
But with stunned, it counts.
But with charge, it doesn't count.
So in that case, I wonder, what rule to use to count the actions? Remember It's a Stunned Melissa.
1 Stunned is "stronger", so charge 1 Action and the generated clockwork grenade is also 1 action? (so 2 actions for one charge)
2 Charge is "stronger" so it's 1 action for complete charge ?
Does this rule can be used?
(if yes, it's the 1)
Thanks
