Resistance triggers that result in damage flips

Higgybeans

Question

Lady J has: Df (:mask) Counterattack: If this Action is a :meleeAction, the Attacking model suffers 3/4/5 damage. This damage flip suffers a :-flip.

Toni Ironsides has: Df (:tome) Good Shot, My Turn: After resolving, this model gains an Adrenaline Token. If this Action is a :meleeAction, the Attacking model suffers 2/3/5 damage, which can't be cheated.

I understand that Lady J has to win the duel for her trigger, whereas Ironsides does not (because it is after resolving), but how does one determine the number of cards flipped?

For Lady J, is it based on by how much the duel won by? So if she won by 1, the overall flip would be double negative due to the built in negative, right?

How do you work it out for Ironsides, is it just a straight flip?

Are these affected by things like Hard to Wound, which give damage flips a :-flip?

Thanks in advance,

Higgy.

Hard to wound will apply because it is a damage flip.

Accuracy modifiers will also still apply because it is a damage flip resulting from an opposed duel, and they are determined by the difference between the totals, it doesn't matter who has the larger value, so if Toni lost by 11, then she would gain a positive to that damage flip. Page 24 - Damage

Woah, so even though she lost the flip, the accuracy modifier of that flip is used? That's crazy :o

But thank you, it has answered all my questions :)
