How many Minions?

Hi all,

I'm very new to miniature games and Malifaux but have a question about building crews. I can't see the answer in the Core Rule Book.

If a minion card has a number in brackets - like say the Augmented Hunter states "Minion (3)" - does that mean you get three models for the printed 8 Soulstone cost?

That's the maximum number you can hire. Each one costs 8 ss.

Ah okay. My dreams of a huge Stompy Bot army are slightly dented. But at least that will help me keep my bank account happy.

you would think that, but it will actually make your bank account sad. its rare that you run the full amount of a minion, even though you will get the full amount in a box (some exceptions apply). so you may end up spending more money on different units, and end up with the second or third Hunter that collects dust

You can always up the point cost of the game if you wanna put all your models on the table
