What size are auras, pulses, and shockwaves?

In M2E Auras were the height of the model that created them, but I see no such reference in M3E which is notable because Blasts do have a size. According to pages 30 and 31 (digital) I am led to believe that as long as the model affected by the AoE can see the effect (while inside its horizontal range) then it is affected by the effect regardless of intervening terrain or height. So for example if a size 2 model were behind a height 1 blocking wall, it would still suffer the effects of a shockwave dropped on the other side of that wall even though the shockwave marker is height 0. Likewise a model on the edge of a height 4 building would still be considered inside Vent Steam if Mei Feng (size 2) were on the ground nearby.

Pg 13. 

"Measurement is almost always done horizontally from the closest point on the base of the object in question. If a player is measuring to an object, they measure to the closest point on the base of the target. If there is a vertical element, that distance is added to the distance, minus the lower object’s Size or Height (to a minimum of 0)."

You know line of sight between two objects depends on the relative terrain and height, right?

For auras and pulses generated by a model, you’re drawing line of sight from the generating model to whatever.

For pulses generated by a shockwave marker, you’re drawing line of sight from the shockwave marker (See the last bullet point on Markers for the default Size 0).

For auras and pulses, you’re measuring from a model or marker, to another model or marker.  That’s covered by measuring, and takes into account sizes, horizontal distance, and vertical distance as specified in Measuring.
