Zebo
What do you use to represent the 50mm, ht 5, blocking, impassable, hard cover strategy markers for Symbols of Authority?
Treehouse
Plain old 50mm bases or cardboard cut-outs. Since they are blocking and impassable, you could glue something on them, a statue maybe. But I find that flat markers give you a better overview of the game.
Ludvig
Flat mdf bases. A lot easiier to transport than scenery on a base.
Treehouse
You could also choose any picture as a design/make one yourself, print it out, glue it onto mdf/cardboard/plasticboard and cut it out. Use a 50mm base as a tabloid. This way you can make all sorts of markers, Hungry Land, Strike, Stash, Wagon, Germinate, Wind Wall, Fire Wall etc.
JBugman
What these folks said. 3D markers are nice to look at but they're only going to last until the next year when some will be (presumably) replaced with others. Then they're terrain until you can use them for something else.
Mikey_C
I use crates and barrels. I figure they will always be a pretty safe marker to have for objectives, mine don't accurately reflect ht 5 but I'm not concerned about it.
