Failing to disengage and terrifying

thecapopriest

Question

If you attempt to disengage from a terrifying model and fail is it considered that your model ended a walk within engagement range and so needs to take a terrifying test, or since the action point is lost it is not considered to have done that?

Also since your model instigates the disengaging strike is it considered targeting the terrifying model, or is it the opposite, or neither?

Yes,  if your model tries to do a disengaging strike at a terrifying model, it would need to do a Horror Duel unless it already passed on that turn against said terrifiing model.

Just to clarify, if a model with terrifying attempts to walk away from another model and provoke a disengaging strike, that model making the strike is targeting a model with terrifying, so likely will have to make a terrifying check (assuming it didn't already pass one earlier from that model or something).
