Shorthanded but extra soulstones?

So I finally played a demo game, and am now just waiting for my kin starter box, merris and the rule book to arrive, I would have gotten slop haulers to but $$. I will eventually get some slop haulers(before I start buying the coming crew boxes at least) so will then drop a upgrade to add one in

But my question is, according to the little army builder I have on my phone for a 50 ss game I essentially have  a 6 ss pool left 3 unspent ss left and my cache.

Is this okay? Am I shooting myself in the foot to much or would the la croix family be okay if they are slightly shorthanded but get some extra soulstones to burn?

Generally you want atleast 4-5 soulstones in almost any crew, so leaving a little out to get that is fine.

Ophelia really, really loves her Soul Stones when not accompanied by Lenny as she can use them to add Rams to her attacks thus doubling her damage. Francois also likes them for prevent

Any master I play doesn't need many extra - im fine with 3-5 pool, most times. Some masters are SS hungry (Ophelia, Nico, Ironsides) some give little/no shits (Misaki, McCabe).

I mostly use them for card draw anyway because woooooow do my hands suck most of the time.
