Vidd
I can identify with this post. As you point out, you can't just blame bad flips. Taking notes would probably help me quite a bit. It can be hard to remember weeks later what worked (or didn't) about a particular crew against another particular crew.
asrian
Going by the logic of the title, if we learn by losing, then at this point I know EVERYTHING! (And bookmarked it to read later).
The Godlyness
Learning from losing is difficult when you don't lose. Come to gencon or adepticon. See if your won streak stays ;~) or play some vassal. Lots of people play. Stop just seal clubbing your club. Also saved for later.

It's not like I'm trying to protect my win streak or anything, it just happens.
Cats Laughing
Come to gencon or adepticon. Sigh, stupid big ocean... As for the blog, I thought it was well written and on point. A good primer for people looking to move from new player to veteran.
Mxbedlam
Thanks for the positive comments! I'm hoping that my blog helps others grow into Malifaux as I make my own journey through the Breach. I've only gotten maybe 2 dozen games under my belt, so I'm still in the novice stage but I have a lot of previous gaming experience that allows me to be more analytic when I play. We are working towards a good community in my area. We have about a dozen people interested at the moment and all of us are fairly new, so sometimes its a bit of a stumble and we'll find that we have been playing a rule all wrong for a couple games. I do need to learn vassal so that I can get more experience in.
