mistercactus
Have Fuhatsu and Oiran arriving in the next day or two. Plan is pretty obvious: wound somebody to buff the oiran. How well does this work in practice? Anyone have any advice for using the girls most effectively?
thebarbalag
Works like a charm. I've used it to good effect in Henchman Hardcore, and to substantial effect in full games. Fuhatsu is so good at dealing damage it's easy to get the buff, and with the buff, Oiran are a little nuts.
mistercactus
Other than madman with a gun, what tricks are there to get folks out of engagement range? Lure from oiran. Anything else?
thebarbalag
I haven't had trouble with it, personally, but On Wings of Wind would probably work, or Sensei Yu/Shenlong.

DeleteAccount
I haven't had trouble with it, personally, but On Wings of Wind would probably work, or Sensei Yu/Shenlong. Fuhatsu can never be pushed, no matter if it's a friend or enemy, so no cigar there, you will have to remove whatever is engaging him. Don't have the cards on me as I'm at work but is the Orian lure a push rather than a walk ending as close to the Orian as possible like the belles? MasterDisaster
I thought Lure was "move target model it's Wk" rather than push. Rotten Belle's Lure says "Move target it's Wk" as does Lilitu's Lure. I'm fairly sure it's not a push so the Oiran should be able to move Fuhatsu out of Engagements. Myyrä
Oiran's Lure is the same as any other Lure in terms of effects.Fuhatsu cannot be moved or pushed by anything other than his own Walk actions. He couldn't even take a charge action even if he did have a Cg value. Lure does not work on him.

Makes more sense to me now. As I say I don't have the cards on me but thought the lure worked the same as any other, but if Fuhatsu can't be moved at all except his own Wk then yeah, it won't work anyway. I mentioned push since I was quoting about on Wings of Wind and Seinsei Yu. But yeah, lure doesn't help him either. The only way to move Fuhatsu more is through Obey (Brewmaster), giving him fast (Shenlong or Seinsi Yu with Wandering River Style and they waste the push in the process) and Nimble (McCabe, who also wastes the push part of giving the upgrade) and you will have to go for the enemy models to free him. This doesn't mean Fuhatsu is unworkable, but if he goes in the list, you really have to plan for him and have a clear idea of who will babysit him, since an engaged Fuhatsu is 10SS of waste and madman with a Machine Gun has failed me more than a few times since a single model stying already kills your turn and probably the next with him. Eclipse
The combo works well for me - I just don't expect to be able to deal much damage with Fuhatsu. Still, the board control you get from it is quite powerful.
