Suppose you take Vasilisa with the strum the threads upgrade in a Dreamer crew. 

 

Pleasant dreams states: When another friendly model Activates within (aura 6) it immediately heals 3 damage. 

 

Strum the threads states: Friendly puppet models which activate within (aura 6) may suffer 2 damage, which may not be reduced, to gain the Fast condition. 

 

Is it possible to activate Vasilisa in a Dreamer crew, take 2 damage from strum the threads to gain fast and then immediately heal it back with pleasant dreams? If so this seems excellent between her and summoned stitched togethers.

Abilities of the acting model are resolved before those of other models so Strum would go first for the model carrying the upgrade. If both Abilities are those of other models you get to chose the order. General Timing box, p46.

That's a pretty cool combo actually. Thankfully Stitched's Reactivate needs to come from an Attack Action or that would've been horrible.

well 3 gamble your lives is common as the dreamer himself can also give fast. I normally do 2 gamble your life actions and 1 game of chance, obviously dependant on wounds I sometimes do 3. Even if all 3 don't backfire you have done min 9 damage so that in its self is horrible.

I have to ask why would you hope to fail?

You could just cheat lower. That's a thing. Or use summoned stitched on another relent to gain reactivate. There are many possibilities of how to get reactivate.
