An example of this would be the trigger on Montressor's action below:

(1) Toss the Noose (Sh 6 / Rst: Df / Rg: z10): Target suffers 1/4/7 damage.

(Crow) Pull 'em Tight: After damaging, target must discard two cards or be

pushed into base contact with this model.

...but if a model is standing in front of montressor, it would interrupt the target model's push...

The model would follow the most direct, straight line path, from closest base edge to closest base edge, until they either end in b2b with the appropriate model, or they are obstructed by another model or terrain, in which case, they stop.

I thought that this would be what you did if it said to push 'towards'? If it said to push into base contact, would you not look for a straight line path to end in base contact rather than the most direct route (ie closest edge to closest edge)? And if none existed, the controlling model would choose any straight line path that would end in base contact but stops at the obstruction?

All pushes in relation to a specific point must follow the shortest route towards or away from that point.

So no.

Yeah, you go center-to-center, straight line toward Montresor or whatever. If you bump into anything blocking, like a model or a wall (even a climbable wall), even if it's just clipping an edge a little, you stop.

Lures can move around obstacles. Charges can take oblique angles to get to the target. But Pushes must go directly center-to-center straight line.
