  1. I don't expect this to be legal but wanted to confirm timing. Mud Calling on Juju's Eternal Fiend reads: Juvenile's Wail on the Gupps reads: Any chance Juju get's the buff? Gupps gets reduced to 0 Wds, Juju unburies, Gupp pulses, Gupp is removed? Come onnnnnnn.....
  2. Here's what I think: the model isn't activating so if it fails a horror duel it gains paralyzed and will lose its entire next activation, BUT it gets to complete the action it is taking outside of its activation. So better in the immediate, way worse next turn.
  3. If we consider the target of an obey to have activated...then yes. The model "activates" and removes paralyzed, right? If we say it isn't activating, then not sure how you resolve a failed horror duel. I don't have the book in front of me.
  4. You bring up a good point with terrifying though...if the model fails a horror duel outside its own activation maybe it needs to be paralyzed the next time it tries to activate.
  5. It all depends on how you define an "activation". I fall in the camp that the warpig acting due to obey isn't truly an activation, but an action within someone else's activation, therefore the warpig cannot end its activation because its not currently having one.
  6. Sweet, that's awesome and awful simultaneously. Thanks!
  7. Ok, shenanigan extending follow-up question: After NOT ending my warpigs activation (because it's not actually his activation), can it proceed with it's Stampede trigger? "Stampede: After damaging, this model suffers 1 damage and must Charge the closest legal non-Pig target which it is not engaged with. This Charge may be made while engaged. This model may only declare this Trigger once per Activation."
  8. Can a model acting outside it's own activation (obey, prompt, etc.) eat its fill? Eat Your Fill: After killing or sacrificing an enemy model, this model may choose to heal all damage it has suffered and end its Activation.
  9. Can stuffed piglets ever really be killed? It Goes Pop!: When this model is killed, it may take the Bacon Bomb Action before being removed from play. (1) Bacon Bomb: Flip a card which can not be cheated and apply the following effect depending on the suit of the card. After resolving this Action, if this model is still in play, sacrifice it. .... ... ... So my question is to how the timing works of all of that. Does the sacrifice happen before the pig is removed to play due to being killed? I'm asking for Make Them Suffer purposes, btw.
  10. The ability reads: (0) Hidden Sniper (Sh 6 / TN: 12R / Rst: Df / Rg: 12): Target suffers 2/3/4 Damage. If the target is within 3” and LoS of a Scheme Marker, this Attack f lip gains a + and ignores LoS and cover. What I don't understand is why it says "ignore cover" when it has no gun icon in the first place. Thoughts?
  11. I don't know if you're thinking Merris putting burning on the doll, I did at first, then I saw Merris' attack is vs. enemy only.
  12. I read it as an extra clause to placing a scheme marker but not a new definition of base contact.
  13. Hey all, Base to base has two questions with address it in the FAQ. I just need a touch of clarity: Q: Can you define the terms “base contact” and “base to base contact”? A: They both mean the same thing: “When the bases of two or more models are physically touching.” Q: If a model is placing a Marker in base contact with itself and the Marker is Ht 0, can the Marker be placed underneath the model’s base? A: No. The Marker must be placed touching the model’s base, but not overlapping it. The way I read this is, "when placing a marking in b2b with your model, it must be placed tangentially. However, anytime that 2 things bases are touching, they are considered in base to base contact". But it was recently suggested to me that b2b now was ALWAYS defined as "touching but not overlapping". A common example would be, interacting/claiming with a squat marker. Can you be standing on top of it when you interact, or is that no longer considered base to base contact? Thanks!
  14. Does Nekima's "True Mother" upgrade need to be used in conjunction with either the "Rapid Growth" upgrade or a Black Blood Shaman in order to allow models to grow (and mature)? True Mother reads: Feast, My Darlings: When this model kills an enemy model, a friendly model within 6" may count as having killed the model for the purposes of the Grow and Mature Abilities. but it doesn't look like it actually grants the Grow and Mature abilities like it does on the other two sources, for example, the Black Blood Shaman's Grow: Grow: If a friendly Terror Tot model within 12" (regardless of LoS) kills a non-Peon enemy model with an Attack Action, summon a Young Nephilim in base contact with the Terror Tot. Then, sacrifice the Terror Tot. Thanks!
  15. Question about the push for the Gator Snack ability. The ability reads In the below picture I know Scenario A is legal. What about B and C? Sorry in advance for not knowing a good way to get the image up here...
  16. I noticed these two: Lightning bugs are still named glowing varmints. Mancha Roja is on a 50mm When he should be on a 40mm
  17. An example of this would be the trigger on Montressor's action below: (1) Toss the Noose (Sh 6 / Rst: Df / Rg: z10): Target suffers 1/4/7 damage. (Crow) Pull 'em Tight: After damaging, target must discard two cards or be pushed into base contact with this model. ...but if a model is standing in front of montressor, it would interrupt the target model's push...
  18. What happens when a rule says something like "push into base contact with target model" but something is obstructing the direct path to the model and it would be impossible to follow the line and push into b2b?
  19. Well, that solves that. Thanks Sevorin.
  20. Aesop

    Mancha Roja

My bet would be Wong, Burt, Gracie, Assistant, 3 lightning bugs. I get that there's already blisters with Gracie and Burt, but I don't think that's enough of a reason to pack various non-fluffy models in Wong's crew box.

    Mancha Roja

Why do you guys think Wong with Mancha is a no brainer? Mancha seems stand alone to me. I would more likely expect Burt and Gracie in a Wong box.
  22. Tossed Feed Reads: If the pig in question is already in base contact with the target at the start of Tossed Feed (ie. it isn't pushed) does it still get to take a 1 AP Ml Attack? I know that it's been ruled that in the case of pounce the model doesn't get the Ml Attack, but that reads slightly differently: Specifically, tossed feed doesn't have the qualifier "When an enemy model ends a Push or Move..." Thoughts?
  23. Piglets are gremlin models as they are part of the gremlin faction. Bayou Gremlins are gremlin models (part of the gremlin faction) and have the gremlin attribute listed above their statline. When an ability calls out the Gremlin keyword as in, Truffles: Target friendly Gremlin is pushed it Wk towards this model. or Pull My Finger: All non-Gremlin models in range must pass a TN 15 Wp duel or suffer 2 damage. is the keyword Gremlin referring to the faction of the attribute?
