dafruk
For guild I currently own: Lady J, Sonnia, Lucius Judge, Samael, Ryle Executioner, Guild Captain, Sarge Dash 3 Death Marshals, 3 Witchlings, 3 Guild Guard, 2 Austringers, 4 Hounds, Lawyer Looking at it the box I really wanted was Hoffman but I'm refusing to buy the metal version with all those spindly robot limbs just waiting to snap so I want them in plastic. So with that out of the equation which box do people think would be the best direction to go in order to expand my options, ideally something that will mix and match with the current stuff, I'm not fussed about standalone crews. Perdita - as a master doesn't overly interest me, but the other guys in the box are good functional models in other crews. McCabe - Looks interesting mechanically, minions don't seem particularly restricted to his crew either so could allow some cross usage McMourning - Dangerous teritory to pull myself into ressers who I don't own any of but then I do own a levi crew that I'm painting up so could end up going down the resser route afterwards anyway. But the crew is somewhat standalone as have to play McM to get any of them into guild but nurses look like they could do some fun things in a guild crew (witchlings). daemonkin
McCabe is also a slippery slope into 10T but with Luna in his crew it gives guild hounds a bump which could possibly help with other guild crews. Also Sidir is very versatile. D.
dgraz
McCabe and 'Dita boxes both offer some decent cross-over with what you already have. I'm biased toward 'Dita because I love her....but 'Cisco is a fantastic Henchman for anyone....works well with Sonnia with Diestro on him...and Sonnia with Df 6 is pretty great......and can you imagine Lady J with Df 7 and Riposte? Papa is great with Sonnia giving her the plus flips on damage lets her really spread the fiery blast love.
4thstringer
I would suggest the Perdita box too, as hers offers a lot to other crews. Another option (though it might not be what you are looking for) is to try some other models with the crews you have. Daschell works well with riflemen, the Hunter and Warden both work well with Lucius.and will be useful once you get the Hoff in plastic. And the witchling handler or the mercenary specialist with the flamethrower (blanking on the name) can have a lot of fun in a sonnia crew. Those are just some ideas, and I am use other people have some cool ideas as well (abuela, pistoleros, watcher, pathfinder, performer)
Tuttleboy
I'm with the others on the Perdita box. Just be prepared to be called filthy, unless you play with the suggested amount of terrain on the board and plenty of that blocking.

For now I think I'll stick to just picking up a new starter box, I find it gives me a nice painting project to work on at the same time as expanding my gaming options. If I picked up riflemen then I already know the paintscheme I'd be using and I'm not sure of how much cross usage I'd get with them. Wardens were tempting but again fall into the annoying robot thing that I'll wait for plastics. I'll need to check out the witchling handler and Specialists rules to see if I fancy them. I'm leaning towards only buying things in plastics these days as models not chipping horribly as often is so much nicer than having constant running repairs! dafruk
Just looking at the perdita box, I'm annoyingly not a huge fan of Francisco (it's the hat). It's frustrating as he'd be the obvious inclusion in a few other crews, might steer me away from the crew and pick up McCabe instead and try to find something to use as a proxy instead of the actual model (at least for now). daemonkin
Find a suitable proxy for 'Cisco? Dita, Papa, Nino and Santiago are all more awesome sculpts than their metals (but I have a real fondness for original Dita) in my opinion. D. Falconrider
You won't be disappointed in McCabe's box, Sidir is solid and his Promises upgrade is terrific for your other Guild Enforcers and Henchmen. Wastrels are decent 4ss minions who add some healing. Another option not yet mentioned is the Guild Pathfinder and the traps. I've found him very useful for squatter's rights and frame for murder where you can deploy him nice and close to summon traps on squat markers or get him killed for frame. Again another good lead into 10T if your ever tempted after picking up McCabe's box.
4thstringer
My local henchman (arli on here) told me that it isn't to hard to not include the hat, and to sculpt some greenstuff hair on there. I hate the sombrero thing too, it just feels like I have jumped into a frat boys cinco de mayo party when I see it.
dgraz
I'll need to check out the witchling handler and Specialists rules to see if I fancy them. The specialist is.....okay. Good with Sonnia, but not an auto-include by any stretch..............the Handler however.....wow! She goes in every Sonnia list for me. I also despise, hate, loathe, the new 'Cisco....the hat is horrendous and his "dueling sword" likes like an overgrown butcher's knife. I also prefer the original 'Dita, but I think the one in the new box is pretty cool....and all the other models in the box are decent too.
daemonkin
But even new Cisco is a better sculpt than the original. D.
dgraz
But even new Cisco is a better sculpt than the original. D. We'll have to agree to disagree on that. The old one may be a little flat, but the new one is just too ugly for me.........different strokes and all that.
daemonkin
I can live with that D.
MasterDisaster
I've loving the Hoff at the moment and personally I've had no issues with the thin arms and legs on the crew. I was waiting for plastics like yourself but I saw him online for an absolute steal (Crew box for £13) so I grabbed him ASAP. He's really really good fun to play with and most of his constructs can cross over into other crews quite nicely. Mainly the Guardian, Warden and Watchers, all of which have various uses with various Masters. Failing that Perdita is probably the way forward purely for the support her crew can offer any Guild Master. She is also pretty amazing herself. dafruk
Found a model in my collection to proxy Francisco so think I've settled on McCabe box next. And using the old hats & guns addon I've done this (ink wash just to give it some definition for picture), new sword blade was because floppy sword syndrome. 4thstringer
I like that as a proxy. Cool model.
