Sonnia crid, midnight theme

Hi folks, Some of you will remember the other guild crews I have been painting up recently. I finally got round to doing the photography for Sonnia's crew. Im rather happy with the way these came out, the purifying flame not so much, but i might go back in and do some more work on him anyway. As with my other crews this is in the Midnight theme colours. and with the rest of my crews there are on DCB miniatures street bases

I had a lot of fun painting the witchling stalkers and especially painting Samael hopkins, who is the most badass miniature in malifaux.

Played a game with her against Ramos recently and was rather pleased with how much she can blow stuff up, made managing those spiders a lot easier.

Damn good job dude. I was just looking today for tutorials on how to do black robes and low and behold, you post this.  Care to share your technique? I'm wanting to use it on the Guild Riflemen.

I like the leather tones you used too.  For my first shot at leather, I painted the Death Marshals using successive layers of Calthan Brown (old GW), then washed with a heavily water down Dark Flesh followed by a wash with Evil Sunz Scarlet (RED).  The end result isn't quite leathery as I want it.  What paints did you use for the leather?

The black cloth is a grey basecoat, then washed with black paint, about 1 part black to 6 parts water. followed by selected line shades in black.

The leather is a grey basecoat (see where im going with the grey), followed by  glazing / blending on P3 blood tracker brown as a highlight, then a second highlight in GW Snakebite leather.
