Renen
Afternoon chaps! So I am looking at putting together a playlist to have on in the background while we throw down. Does anyone have a playlist they use or could suggest some good songs? Cheers, Ren
Attrition
Tom Waits has some really strange songs, prose, and soundscapes that are perfect for the dark setting of Malifaux. A few of my favorites:"Just the Right Bullets" from The Black Rider - good for shooty crews"Singapore" from Rain Dogs"Chicago" from Bad as Me - good song for malifaux at adepticon"What's He Building?" from Mule Variations"Clang Boom Steam" from Real Gone - Railworkers themesong"Dead and Lovely" from Real Gone - song for Molly or rotten belles"Circus" from Real GoneThere are dozens more like these, but that's a good taste of what's available.
zFiend
Haddaway - What is love. Because they have feelings in Malifaux too.
Bodiless
Overall theme - "Ashes to Ashes" Steve Earle Lynch - "The Gambler" Kenny Rogers
TJUK
Every time I put some beckoners on the table I think of flappers from a 1920s jazz club, and the way to think about 1920s jazz in 2014 is a nice bit of electro swing like Suzy by Caravan Palace. Maybe not dark enough for Malifaux, but I'd imagine the Honeypot casino would be a happening place.
Nagash1959
The album "The Devil's Bris" by Voltaire. Set to repeat. Especially the song "When You're Evil".
doctorlucky
Dr. Steel has some gothic steampunk stuff. Second on the Tom Waits nod. Dr. Steel song that I've always wanted to do a puppet wars video to : http://youtu.be/FQeI0KZBcUQ I freaking love this cover : http://youtu.be/l2S4GTD-AAw

TehMik
Is "black magic woman*" for Zoraida TOO obvious a choice? *The Carlos Santana version, of course.
Ozymandias79
Check out the soundtrack to the video game Red Dead Redemption, and it's expansion, Undead Nightmare. Some great tracks on there, perfect for the Ortegas or Lady J. Also, the soundtrack to the short documentary, The Accidental Sea is amazing. Just search on YouTube for the accidental sea to hear the track, I believe it's available for download from their site too.
Joel
"People Are Strange" by Echo & the bunnymen should be in every malifaux playlist
tmod
"People Are Strange" by Echo & the bunnymen should be in every malifaux playlist Never heard this on! Still prefer the original by the Doors, but still a very cool cover!
tmod
Is "black magic woman*" for Zoraida TOO obvious a choice? *The Carlos Santana version, of course. Assuming you mean the bandy Santana, not the band's lead guitarist (Carlos Santana), it's a solid pick. I'd still prefer the original version by Fleetwood Mac, though. Peter Green & Co's got a rawer sound which I'd say is more appropriate for Z, whereas Santanas's sweet sound is a little too polished for Zoraida after my taste...
