tmod Posted May 8, 2014 Report Share Posted May 8, 2014 I'm looking at magnetizing all my bases, and the newer style 30mm bases lends themselves to this very well due to the slot being removed and a space for magnets underneath. With newer plastic sets these are included, bud I'd like to get more, to fit to my older metal models as well. In the wyrd webstore the image show bases of the old type with slots. Fenton Crack Posted May 8, 2014 Report Share Posted May 8, 2014 If you are using the Tablewar magnets, or similar thickness (2mm, 3mm?), the new bases will actually need to be drilled out as the "dish" is not as deep as the slotta bases were. Other companies make them in other thicknesses though, so I'm sure you can find ones that will work without drilling. I just bought 6 packs from Wyrd to use with nearly every plastic/resin 30mm based figure I buy from now on and to convert many I already own. Well worth the effort.
