Considering the time you are in the hobby, i am impressed, these look good and clean If you want to give your buddy a hand get a background for the next pictures, like a lot of people here have, makes everything look more studio-like. Advertisement is okay for me as long as it is related to our hobby and not everyone trying to sell used clothes and stuff oh and btw imho super+ points for the goatee and his headwound from falling off the horse

  3. Samurai looks good I would not paint a malifaux Crew in this manner unless i don't care about it. The possibility of painting the models individually is what makes Malifaux (and other skirmishers i guess) more appealing to me than most army-size games from a painting perspective I come from 40k and i painted a whole wardrobe full of stuff, sometimes in batches of like 30 Miniatures at once, so i can paint like i am a factory, but it's not as much fun anymore. I think i can do The Other Side if i apply all the shortcuts and only do 1 Unit at a time.

  6. The other Side Models!!! okay Pics suck again, need to get something done about it this weekend. Few things: Bases are ... problematic let's say... if you play Faux and TheOtherSide there are Magnets involved. The Big Bases require probably more ingenuity in the future... I hope they look good on Camera one day I haven't painted Squads since quitting Warhammer 40k in 2020 (i still need to get rid of about 1200 Models) and I have trouble getting used to it again. I think i may have overdone painting when playing 40k on a gross Quantity-basis ---- Also industrial-scale Base Design...well i maybe get help for painting all the Other Side stuff, Hard to do it parallel with Painting multiple Malifaux Crews as well as the rest of life. This was a Rush Job and took overall less than 10 Hours, so it's okayish but i think i need a break right now. I Post something if I get something done, otherwise i'll be off til june (apart from cheering you on of course) Also Gaps: They are there i try to use Plastic Glue while assembling and sculpt so they are gone. If that doesn't work i lose interest and try to do my paintjob so well nobody dares comment on the gaps. Will try out all of your Tips&Tricks Edit: Also this fullfills my pledge for this month. Now i am slow on the uptake but: We only have a rating for Titans, Commanders and all other Models? so this is 14 other models so 70 Soulstones? or am I wrong about this? Also If the above is the Case, i think we should allow for 10SS Value on Champions and Single Models on 80mm Bases or bigger (Like Ikiryio) at least because that actually seems fairer.

  10. I will finish the whole The other Side starter Box, which is mostly done but too late for April. And then i don't know, i have built and primed several Crews ready so i go with what i fancy at the moment. So that update will come with pictures from the other side Starter
  11. so my suggestion works like this: If you go an unbury with expedite within 6 inches of Tara and take away the option to charge than it is only a possibility to bury a model within 6 inches+30mm of Tara with 33s Coffin action. If you give out staggered for expedite you cannot rewind the expedited model back to the rewind marker because it can no longer be moved by friendly abilities and actions. Tara can now theoretically bury 33 with stutter time which would unbury the kidnapped model in its former space. So thats not a possibility for a play anymore. So the situation is like this: my change would allow the expedite coffin kidnap with Tara 6 inches from 33 and 33 in base contact with the kidnapped model WHILE the opponent has an activiation to surely retaliate against either of them. In my head this is still an okay solution. If that still doesn't appeal it might be due to my lack of sleep How can Stutter time unbury 33? Stutter Time buries a model with from nothing.
  12. No that is not what i am saying. I think i clearly stated that my personal opinion is that I wouldn't make the change that way and i also clearly stated that it's not my decision to make. I am also totally fine if that's the absolute best suggestion and turns out to be what will be done So to get back to the productive side of this post: if you wanna test it out, give me a holler, we can do some vassal field tests.
  13. 10 inch 6vs wp on your lodestone Carrier to bury you and place you next to the place where you stood before at a moment of my choosing? i think personally my answer would be: no thank you. I am not saying that it isn't a viable option, but it also adds to the possibilities of Tara2 and i would like to see if the Crew works if you just substracted from it. Ultimately thats only my opinion though
  14. i think it's not less oppressive if you allow for more targets to be affected. I think if Taras Expedite would only allow non charge general Actions and maybe give not slow but something else (staggered comes to my mind) then the whole thing would be better. The Problem for me is not that Tara can Kidnap stuff but that she can do so without risk or tradeoff
  15. but: does the one thing exclude the other completely? i'm not superinclined to agree that focus doesn't work proper, but some crews stack it a bit too easy. Hazardous is sometimes stupid but there is meanwhile a lot of 'ignore hazardoustech" as well. I think i would love to agree if examples were given for hazardous, i can only think of Anya+grave goo which never worked for me because my opponents didn't let themselves be duped. ---> i had expected something like reworking the shadow rules and measuring distances while standing on top of terrain when i read your post
  16. yeah well okay but there have been different demands for nerfing YanLo2 already regarding different things and it would be nice to know what exactly is there to nerf Because i only played him once (badly) but if think the ability to go everywhere on the map and then just teleport enemy models to within 6 inches at will a powerful experience (endless power!). When I am palying against YanLo2, what buggers me the most is that i cannot shove/push the darn Komainu somewhere else. I think a good rework would be either/or, or at least putting the shooting attack to stat 5 instead of stat 6,or taking away the ignoring friendly fire, but not all at once because then it would be a joke to play against him. And i think its easy to overbalance stuff the other way, right Ivan? na okay debatable, but I feel like it's easy to say: This is strong and that is strong, and it's because of all those abilities on the card but the important question is: what is good change? Because there should remain some motivation to still play the model after the rework. and if you want to demonstrate a good change, make a change suggestion play a game and record the result or write up the experience kind of thing, like a playtesting realm inna video game.... so what would you change on kirai2's card? make the WP duel for join us Wp 11? Wp10? Make the summons have the Kirai 1 Summon Upgrade?
  17. Easy Bait&Switch with LJ2 for first point (at least in my head it is ) Bury model, unbury in your backline, drop scheme marker. Corner should be good for the 2nd point too. otherwise: Rider with LLC can score Leylines first two turns while the rest of you goes and murders Stuff. I would not go for Breakthrough on Corner with LJ because i want to murder stuff, not take walk actions. I think death Beds is allright and B&S, you can score strat and bury his strat scoring models and if you kill enough stuff its a win? I have little experience with Perdita, so can't comment

I mean to be honest: introducing a second Version to every Master and thus changing up the guessing game during Crew Select and the way the stat Cards of all other models interact within Crew/Faction is an immense change to the game. Although i rather came late to the party of trying everything out, i have maybe managed to play/play against/ see videos of 60-70% of every Master and i think i tend to spend a lot of time on this game. So my point is: we are still in the test phase. I get see to stuff every week that is really strong that i didn't know about (or get it deployed in my face). As much as I always think that stuff that can win against me is OP, i think the more realistic step is to ask myself: what can I do? whats the play or the Countertech? Also before I list 20 things that i think could be reworked, whats the goal of the rework? is it just taking the edge off the strong stuff (like with the last Explorer Society rework) or do we want to balance factions vs each other? Because I feel that most things are beatable if you deploy the right stuff and know what you are doing, but not every faction Matchup has the same guessing window while selecting Master/Crews, as for example thats whats up with Ressers/Outcast right now, they often have more valid choices while the opponent has to correctly guess what he is up against to have an equal matchup (like maybe Jedza2 makes for sad komainus) Sry for the amount of text: i think i would also like to know why some crews win sooo much more than others, and then make a contribution as to why, so we would need some statistics here first? So in Case of Yan Lo2 who seems to win a bit more than other masters: i feel it's because of the general Mobility of him and his Petminion, and the amount of AP they can generate. So my Suggestion would be: Take away the laugh off so i can Screw up his Positioning. Make the bonus action from the Upgrade only into 'Yan Lo may take a general action' (which is still superstrong in my opinion) and things would be a bit easier for the opponent. Bury and obey is not accessible to so many crews that it counts a s valid countertech in this case (in my opinion) and try to make a list? or actually playtest stuff thats up for nerfs with a group of experienced players?

  22. Guys i am very sad if you go and paint awesome miniatures of other games and do not post them here. I am pretty sure it is allowed under the rules of this challenge and if not we can make up some ss values for miniatures, but please post your work for f*** sake 🤣 any-how: The Family is now complete. i will go and make better pics once i have played the hell out of them this weekend
  23. I think that in last blossom Jin has more use with Misaki 1 because he makes sure that you get last activation with your favourite Lady of shadows regardless of initiative. Apart from that ability and Corner Deployment as mentioned i found him better playing defensively, having him sit on a shadow marker shooting intruders getting rid of scheme Markers. I feel that Misaki fractured is nice to have as an obey Master, but nothing she does is better than what other obey masters do (in my opinion) I like the automatic Focus you can give your models but thats more useful on Ototo and Minako than anybody else. i think there is some play with shang and the tome trigger on twisting paths to teleport your models god knows where and wreak havoc - but then it feels like that too is Misaki1's domain, and it eats yet another 7 if you have to cheat. I have yet too try more lists, but as Misaki2 is more designed to be played in Keyword, its pretty obvious that the Keyword itself is very squishy. I like playing her in more non-competetive games so far.

I think if you are using it for 20 Years it should count under good gadgets As far as i am concerned the only gadget i right now own thats complete and utter trash imho is this one i think it is meant to work on a bigger piece without touching it and to catch overspray from your airbrush. it funnels a lot of dry pigments while airbrushing back unto your miniature thus makin it look slightly worse, the Turntable is superwobbly and completely unsuited for heavier Models and you can't get a decent angle on anything for love nor money unless you are half as broad in the shoulders as i am which is already not superbroad to begin with. Or you just have 4 Joints on each arm i don't know Upside is i since buying own a lighbox with a Drawer. The biggest upgrades in my painting life still remain to be wet palette and dropper bottles for anything liquid thats needed for painting and airbrushing, otherwise i have only drawn blanks so far
