  1. Working on my Lucius list: Lucius - Condescending - Legalese - Secret Assets Dashel - Arrest Him! The Scribe Guild Rifleman x 2 Guild Investigator Guild Austringer Field Reporter Hunter As mentioned, somewhat heavy on shooting, but quite some options to finish off pinged models. Lots better for schemes which are not as combat focused than the Rollins List. Also, I got most of the models. So - next step: Painting.
  2. A little rushed, due to lack of time (which is strange as we had 1 week more)
  3. Would this list work? I like its simplicity. Rollins (Badge of Speed, Loot Bag, Strange Metalshirt) Cherri Bomb Phiona Patti & Elli Ramone 2 x Hunters Each of the Ramone Girls would drag one Hunter along, trying to make mincemeat out of all stragglers they encounter. Or do a sacrificial suicide run, hoping to survive via the Metalshirt (which gives them 2 Armor). Cherri just shoots stuff. Phiona kills what she can reach. Rollins works as Wild Card.
  4. @Ludvig sounds like you are on to something. Still, one more actual damage dealer would be nice. Rifleman are good as finishers though. With focus on "hold" they can actually stop countercharges to some degree. And with Dashel handing that out as (0), might work. Mhm...have to see what such a list could look like with Lucius. Rollins/McCabe has enough damage potential. Hunters with "Metal Shirt" would be quite sturdy, I would say.
  5. @4thstringer My modeling level is subpar I would say. And the Wyrd miniatures are borderline fiddly for me to begin with. Latigo is reserved for me for a future "Western" style posse. Otherwise they could fit. Would mix them rather with Death Marshals though to get that Deadlands vibe. I would say everything I can imagine being allowed into Lucius' office would fit. Pistoleros and Burning Thralls (which would both ruin the carpet), not so much...
  6. @Ludvig, sorry, no Latigo's or Thralls. Do not fit into the visual theme. But I went out and got myself the Nellie and the Hoffman boxes. Quite happy about seing it is two Hunters. Can see them in both lists @4thstringer, yeah, noticed the pillow fists myself. That is why I am asking for advice. The Hunters (see above) hand out some hurt, but not really finishing moves. Any idea for a model that looks more...Guild (Duster, Coat, Gentlewoman) and packs a punch? The Investigators are a must as soon as they are available. Really cool concept art.
  7. OK. And what makes sense to play together, i.e. how to built a list from this?
  8. @Flinroz My bad, took Angel Eyes out. See, this is why I need an assist :-)
  9. Lucius options (may miss some, confused about "multiple faction" models): Everything in his box + Austringers, Riflemen, Wastrels, Allison Dade, Guils Sergeant, Reporters, Mounted Guards, Guild Investigator
  10. Rollins Options (may miss some, confused about "multiple faction" models): Everything in his box + Ryle, Phiona, Guardian, Hunter, Warden, Peacekeeper, Riotbreaker
  11. Hi, got dragged into Wyrdness and Malifaux by the Iron Painter contest. During the pickup of some miniatures in my local store, I found out that quite some people here also play Malifaux. Long story short, I decided to give it a whirl. Now, I am mostly interested in painting and visuals, more so than in winning games. But not losing all the time would also be nice. I picked up the Lucius box and have an impulse buy lying around "The Wild Ones". What I would like to know - how to branch out from those 2? Restruction: Models must stay in theme and for starters strictly "Guild Only". Themes for Lucius: Guardsman, Bureaucrats, Reporters, Investigators. Themes for Rollins: Everything Steampunk (constructs, mad science) Any models that would be recommended and are fun to paint? Note: budget wise no restrictions Will try to make a list of suitable models, but there are just soo many...:-)
  12. OKeyDokey. Will get out some crews with large hats, so I can practice with eyes without them being too awful on the tabletop. Plus, have to get some magnifying glass. Without it, I cannot even see this level of detail
  13. Thanks for the close up and tips. Do you paint the skin around the eyes after or before the blacklining? And could another secret be "years of practice" ? Anyway - a will take a crack at it over the weekend.
  14. Awesome. You'll have to let us know how you paint eyes that tiny. Still cannot wrap my mind (or brush) around that.
  15. My "Must Have" unit No.1 for The Other Side. Still not sure about what I will play, but these are just magnificent miniatures.
  16. Size cannot be "true 32 mm" or buildings would be really big. Never is with comparable terrain from other companies. Usual compromise is to have outside features playable. Veranda for example looks OK for 30 mm, maybe 40 mm. Interior would be single room I guess. Large enough for a 4-way brawl and some furniture. Making for some interesting blocking options in a tight space. Line of Sight is still possible even with plastic windows, just hard. But you could just say "no LoS" to keep it simple. Looks awesome to me and then some. More than enough playability and some gaudy, elaborate, whimsical features. Which scream Malifaux to me. So, all good.
  17. Interior? Yes, please. a) makes for better playing b) makes for awesome dioramas aand, I want a table full
  18. You go to a Tattoo shop to get something nice to show your appreciation of the sweatheart of the boss. Of course Gotham's finest come knocking. You take the exit through the window. Forgetting the lamppost right in front of it. And waiting in his usual spot, the Bat is laughing at your bad luck. You hate that Murphy and his superpower.
  19. I tried to figure out what would be "strange" to the residents of Malifaux. Having two female miniatures in almost identical posing let me create another strangeness. Fashion is what we have in common :-) Not my proudest basework, but then Malifaux is pretty bleak. Wagon is done from scratch.
  20. Still lots to do. Scratch-Building is hard...
  21. That is one hell of a dynamic scene. Very well done
  22. Excellent color choices. Slightly jealous :-) What colors did you use for the greenish wall?
