Faded Khaki is similar to Zamesi Desert and Uniform Brown is similar to Steel Legion Drab. Add a little dark, brownish red like XV-88 or Mournfang Brown to that mix for some additional color. I think I mixed in some (just a smidge) of the old Citadel Dark Flesh into the Uniform Brown for base and shadows.

The colors I used for the gold were Matte Black (Army Painter), Uniform Brown (Reaper), Faded Khaki (Reaper), Screaming Skull (Citadel), and White (Army Painter). I started with a 50/50 of the Uniform Brown and Faded Khaki and wet blended up and down from there, putting pure white in only for the shiniest bits. I then used Army Painter Purple Tone mixed with Vallejo glazing medium in the shaded areas to add a little bit of color and draw it together with the purple cloth and headdress.

This looks great. I love the improvising and the colors on the elf look really incredible. It's a diorama that fits together incredibly and has so much character.

Thanks, that means a lot! Taking the photo in a lightbox on a dark background definitely helped draw out the lighting effect. I'm really happy with the way they turned out.
