  1. Tales of Malifaux is back and stranger than ever. Find out what happens when a bunch of Gremlins get together for a vote in part one of Gremlin General. Episode 118: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-118/
  2. Hey Wyrdos, This week, as the temperature in Georgia is starting to drop, we found out what happens when Waldo gets cold. His metabolism slows down to a crawl, which means he stops eating everything in sight. We’ve also had to put out considerably fewer fires. Needless to say, we’ve adjusted the thermostat so that it always feels like we’re developing games in a walk-in freezer. So while we figure out how to type with mittens on, let’s take a look at the latest Through the Breach One Shot, available now! In The House that December Built, the Fated will be tasked with entering the Strangerskeep Quarantine Zone to recover some old documents from an abandoned manor. Get in, find the papers, get out, and receive a nice big bounty at the end. Sounds painless enough. Sure, Strangerskeep might have a reputation of being haunted, but those are just wild yarns that the stubborn inhabitants have spun up to keep inquisitive noses out of their business. …Right? While they might expect to find the occasional wandering undead or plagued rat, what the Fated find at the Caulfield mansion will make them wish they were dealing with ghostly spirits, because what’s there instead will chill them to the core. Bundle up! Nothing will quite prepare you for the secrets beneath the frozen floors of the Caulfield manor. You can download this chilling One Shot Through the Breach adventure for just five bucks on DriveThruRPG!
  3. @kOOn Your best bet to get anything sorted about an order is through our customer service. Provide information about your order and they'll be able to answer any questions or concerns you might have.
  4. In the latest entry of Earthside Echoes, we are brought to the Empire of Abyssinia where a war with the Barbary League is underway. But the young Prince Unathi suspects Guild involvement. Episode 03: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-03/

  10. Hey Wyrdos, We are celebrating our 14th anniversary as a company by going all out for this year's Black Friday with more alt models and more ways to get them than we've ever done before. Keep reading to find out everything we're planning for our annual Black Friday sale, which will run from November 27th to December 2nd. This year, we'd like to start off by talking about something entirely new: Waldoscapes! Our favorite little imp has escaped our offices and has started to invade our game tables. Players can use this 50mm based Waldo mini as scatter terrain (if you've been reading our Waldo's Weeklies, you'll know he's pretty Hazardous) or as part of the special holiday Encounters that are provided with his purchase. This Bah Humbug Waldo is the first of many Waldoscapes. Because of the limited quantities, he will be available in metal for $30. Included with Bah Humbug Waldo will be a tarot-sized card with a M3E Strategy on one side and a TOS Operation on the other. All orders of $150 or more will get a Bah Humbug Waldo for absolutely free. Make sure to scoop him up while you can! For the full render, just scroll a bit in this thread. To celebrate The Other Side's one year anniversary, Charles Edmonton is receiving a new sculpt to reflect the struggles he has been facing as he defends his homeland from the Hordes. Even this fearless sniper has to hunker behind a wall to reload every once in a while! Not only will this Special Edition Edmonton come with a new pose, but he'll also be flaunting a Special Edition card as well! You can get your hands on this (unassembled) metal miniature by purchasing him directly for $35 or through our special offer (more details on that below). For the full render of Edmonton, just scroll a bit in this thread. For Third Edition's first Black Friday sale, we're releasing not one, but TWO alt models for Malifaux! The Salty Seadevil, an alt Rogue Necromancy, is the perfect fit for your Brine and Bones Nightmare box. This mutated angler comes in plastic and will be available during our annual sale for $35. The stoic Silent Knight, an alt Killjoy, can accompany your Fae and their Autumn Knights this holiday season. Like Waldo and Edmonton, the Silent Knight will be available in metal. You can scoop him up during the Black Friday sale for $30! And in case you missed it, we recently released two Through the Breach Augments for free so that Fatemasters can include both of these fantastic characters into their campaign. You can find them both in the TTB Resources page. To see the full renders of these models, just scroll a bit in this thread. In addition to the four limited miniatures that we're releasing this year, you'll also be able to find some of our other alt models during the big sale. You can find the full list of special models that will be available in the post below. Of course, everything else that is on our web store will also be available during the sale. Oh, it looks like we forgot to mention the big special that we're running during this year's sale. This works a little differently than our specials in the past. For every $100 spent during the Black Friday deal, you will be able to scoop up one of the exclusive models listed below. Yep, that means that if you spend $300, you'll get 3 of these models of your choice. Pick and choose what works best for you! Miss Fire (M3E) Miss Step (M3E) Miss Terious (M3E) Miss Ery (M3E) Miss Deed (M3E) Miss Anne Thrope (M3E) He-Kome (M3E) Ross Jebsen (M3E) Special Edition Charles Edmonton (TOS) Speaking of stuff that will be included with your purchase, you might become the lucky owner of these fantastic Waldo Tokens made by our friends at Custom Meeple. These holiday-themed Waldo Markers are 30mm, so you can use them to track all sorts of fun stuff across our games. We will be providing a handful of these in every purchase until we run out of them, so make sure to get your orders in fast! Disclaimers on Black Friday Purchases: One pack of Waldo Markers (per customer) will be included in orders until supplies last, regardless of the amount spent. Orders that reach $150 or more will receive one Bah Humbug Waldo, regardless of the amount spent beyond that. For every $100 spent, you will get to choose one of the special models listed above (and this accumulates: $200 will get you 2 models of your choice, $300 will get you 3 of your choice, and so on). With four unique models that are available this time around, this just might be our biggest Black Friday sale yet. Make sure to set your browser to our webstore while repeatedly pressing the refresh button on November 27th, because that's when the big sale begins. You'll have until December 2nd to scoop up all of these limited characters, so make sure to act fast! See you then!
  11. We're back with another episode of Tales of Malifaux. Find out what happens when the new Governor-General makes some waves with Malifaux's mercenaries in part one of Horizon's End! Tales of Malifaux 117: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-117/
  12. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo thought that he’d help out with some of the ventilation in the office by cleaning the chimney. We didn’t know we had a chimney, or a fireplace, or even any ventilation issues. As it turns out, we don’t. I guess the good news is that he’s out of our hair for a while, but the bad news is that while we didn’t have any issues before, we certainly do now. So while we figure out where all of this black dust and ash is coming from, let’s take a look at another alt model that we’ll have available during the Black Friday sale, the Silent Knight! In Malifaux Third Edition, Killjoy has joined up with Titania and her Autumn Knights. If you’d like to know why, we suggest scooping up the Outcast Faction book! However, the next time you make a sacrifice and perform his blood ritual to bring him into battle, a new (but equally as ancient) Neverborn may appear instead. That’s right; the Silent Knight is an alt Killjoy that you can scoop up during the Black Friday sale. Like Ross Jebsen and the Easter Viktorias, the Silent Knight will be available exclusively in metal. You can see what this eternal sentinel will look like on the table by checking out the render below. That’s not all the Silent Knight brings this holiday season. Once again, we are excited to provide our Fatemasters with special (and free!) Through the Breach content. This time, we’ve got a new Augment that you can add to your existing game. Whether you’re playing through the Nythera Penny Dreadful, chasing down a Malisaurus Rex in Jurassic Faux, or building your own adventure that takes place somewhere in the woods, try adding the Silent Knight as a way to turn up the difficulty a few notches. The Grimoire you can get by defeating him will be worth it! To download this Augment and check out all of its Add-ons and features (and to check out some of the lore based around this character), click this link or visit our TTB Resources page here. Tomorrow, we will have a full breakdown of the Black Friday sale, which will include additional surprises and goodies. Make sure to sign up for our Newsletter to be the first to find out!
  13. This is a temporary solution to a problem some of our forum themes are experiencing. Closing this thread because there's no need for two on the same subject. The other thread can be found here.
  14. The best way to get direct answers about specific orders will always be through our customer service via our Contact form. We'll be able to look into the order and give you a more detailed answer there.
  15. Yep, we're aware of the problem and are looking into addressing it as soon as we are able. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
  16. Hey Wyrdos, We are actively chugging away at content for our three major games, and in order for us to make sure that the stuff we're cooking up is as fun as it is balanced, we need help from our incredible community. Help us iron out the wrinkles and stomp out the bugs by providing battle (and adventure) reports, reading over new stat cards, and by providing feedback. As developers, we want to release game content both large and small. Sometimes we need players hunkered around a table for a few Acts in a Through the Breach adventure to let us know where things got confusing, boring, or too challenging. Other times we just need playtesters to look over a quick Augment (like the Salty Seadevil from last week). To give you a taste of what type of stuff is coming down the pipeline that will require playtesting: Malifaux: Upcoming scenarios (special, story, and holiday), Strategies, and Schemes. The Other Side: New Allegiances, Operations, and more. Through the Breach: new One Shots, Penny Dreadfuls, Augments, and more. We are specifically looking for playtesters who will help us in the longterm. As stated before, sometimes the content that needs to be tested comes as a trickle and other times it is a waterfall, but we need testers every step of the way. So, if you'd like to help shape the future of Malifaux, Through the Breach, and/or The Other Side, please fill out the form below (it takes no time). After you take care of that and the NDA, we'll get you sorted. If you are interested in multiple games, make sure to select every game you're interested in playtesting in the dropdown menu. Here is the online form. An application to a playtest group does not guarantee entry. We are looking for dedicated players who can provide us with constructive criticism. Inactivity for a significant amount of time will result in being removed from the group(s).
  17. Hey Wyrdos, We’ve got a very special announcement today. There is a new designer in the Wyrd office! Meet Matt. No, not that Matt, a new Matt! We’ve still got @mattc (now known as “wise old Matt” or “Grandpa Matt”), but now we’ve also got @MattM on our team (who has not received any nicknames just yet, but time will tell). Too bad I can’t enunciate the capitalization of their forum names. This will definitely not get confusing at all. New Matt will be taking over the RPG department as well as helping out with keeping the narrative of all of our games cohesive and connected. Everyone, please give Matt a warm and Wyrd welcome. Expect to see some great Through the Breach content coming from him soon!
  18. Both Archies include the same plastic, so we're waiting on that before we can get the orders fulfilled.
  19. We haven't had Archie available for orders through our distribution chain, so I'm afraid your local game store might have received the wrong information somewhere. Archie was never intended to be available in October. You can find our Upcoming Releases page for a more detailed look at our release schedule. This is public to our retailers and our consumers. Archie will be hitting store shelves sometime in 2020. What may have happened here is a mix-up with our Gen Con orders, which is unfortunate as that web sale is not intended to be used as a way to resell our product. It hurts the retailer and consumer's wallet, for one. For our players who ordered Archie during our Gen Con web sale, we're sorry for the long wait. Not to beat a tired drum, but as we've said before, our expectations were greatly exceeded. During that sale, we immediately made a production order, but sadly, that takes a considerable amount of time. Two months feels like a long time, but it's actually a relatively quick turn around for this sort of thing. The good news: we are expecting to receive the Archie shipment in the next week or two, and the second we get that plastic, we'll be sending it out to those who are still patiently waiting.
  20. We're back with another episode of Tales of Malifaux! In the first episode of Horizon's End, we find out what happens when Governor-General Marlow makes an offer (or demand, depending on how you look at it) to Von Schill and his Freikorps. Give it a listen! Episode 116: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/tales-of-malifaux-116/
  21. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo thought he’d give us a hand with rearranging the office. Because it was his first time with setting up a room, we gave him some suggestions. Before we were able to explain that what we said were just guidelines and not absolutes, he threw 40% of the desks to the side and burned the rest of the furniture to ash. So while we try to figure out how to get all of our employees to work off a single computer, let’s take a look at the latest news in the world of Malifaux! If you found yourself enjoying the Malifaux Crew Builder mobile app but wished you had a similar resource to tinker and theorycraft with on your home PC, then this week’s announcement is for you. We are happy to announce that the Malifaux Crew Builder app that you have enjoyed is now available in a web version. As long as you have an internet connection, you can have access to all of the fantastic features available in the mobile version. View stat cards, build Crews, and track games with the click of a mouse button. Sign in with the same account that you used on the mobile version to gain access to your previously built Crews, favorited models, and more. The web app is a great alternative for those who don’t have a mobile device or prefer to track gameplay on their laptop. Building that crazy Crew list that you’ve been meaning to test out at your next game has never been easier. You can visit the Malifaux Crew Builder web app by clicking this link. Make sure to bookmark it! If you forget, don’t worry about it; you’ll always be able to find the link in Malifaux’s resource section. We can’t wait to see those wild ideas hit the table! Speaking of hitting the table… we found a strange envelope on the design room’s testing table the other day and couldn’t make much sense of it ourselves. There was no return address or stamp - only the trademarked word: “Soon.” The whole thing smelled like damp moss, old blood, and burnt oil. In it, there was only a compass and a piece of parchment paper. Maybe you could all help us out and figure out what it means. That’s it from us. We’re going to run some tests on the envelope to see if we can figure out where it came from. Actually, there is one last thing! Make sure to vote for your favorite painted model in the Rotten Harvest contest! You can find the poll and gallery here.
  22. We're back with another episode of Earthside Echoes. In this episode, we dive into the Battle of London to see how the Cult of the Burning Man and the Gibbering Hordes are reshaping the battlefield. Give it a listen! Episode 02: http://www.breachsidebroadcast.com/e/earthside-echoes-02/
  23. We generally keep these types of questions to answer in an FAQ, but this one appears to be a sticking point. Yes, that change was made by design. The original intent was for that to not happen (as in a model cannot kill themselves), but the further attempt at clarity ended up making things more confusing, so we removed it. It has always meant to work that way, but there were questions about it, so we removed the question. No one can kill themselves by throwing an Idol.
  24. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo was found hiding in the back corner of our warehouse trying to chow down on old 2nd Edition boxes while doing what could only be described as “Flab crunches”. When we tried to ask him what was going on, the only words we were able to get out of him (between minutes of labored breathing) were broken phrases like “Infernal Glory,” “Ole-Imp-Iks,”and “Sunny Palm Springs Florida!” So while Waldo is off getting ready for his big competition, we’re going to take some time to discuss the future of Malifaux competitions with the release of Gaining Grounds: Season Zero. First, let’s start with “What is Gaining Grounds?” because there might be some new players that aren’t familiar. Gaining Grounds is the name we use for official tournament documentation for Malifaux. It’s used to give a backbone structure for our Tournament Organizers to follow that clarifies some basic formalities of running a Malifaux event while breathing new life into the game by providing new ways to play, from new shiny Strategies and Schemes to alternate game formats. Previously, different iterations of Gaining Grounds were referred to by the year they were released (such as Gaining Grounds ‘18), but to separate the titles from one edition to the next, and to give us as designers a little more wiggle room, we are instead introducing a Seasonal system for the Gaining Grounds rotation. No, this does not mean that you will be receiving four Gaining Grounds documents a year. Generally, they’ll continue to stay on the yearly schedule, but there may be instances where an Encounter pool wasn’t as exciting as we had originally hoped. By utilizing a Seasonal system rather than simply a yearly rotation, it gives us the opportunity to freshen that pool a little faster. Okay, so that all sounds great, but what is Gaining Grounds Season Zero, then? Since Malifaux Third Edition was released, many of our incredible tournament organizers have been utilizing outdated information from a Gaining Grounds written for Second Edition. We felt that it would be best if we provided them with a new toolbox, one that would be more fitting for the changes in the latest edition of Malifaux. It is essentially the tournament document that covers the existing game as it stands. But we still managed to add a bunch of neat features: A true toolbox. We understand that every community plays Malifaux differently, and we want to embrace that. Some prefer allowing DMH characters in play. Some communities prefer to only allow single Masters into Crews. With the “pick and choose” method, tournament organizers will now be able to create an event that works best for their community. Terrain suggestions. This was a long-requested feature, as some players have difficulty setting up a table. In Season Zero, we have some suggestions in there to help make your Malifaux experience as fun and strategic as it can be. Updated Tournament Structure. This can be very helpful for players who want to build their first tournament, but it might also help with veteran TOs in adjusting how they’ve done it in the past. New Game Modes. Bored with the standard way of playing Malifaux? Well, we’ve provided the official rules for Henchman Hardcore, All Out Brawl (the M3E update to Enforcer Brawl), and Double Rush. Updated Strategies and Schemes. These have been adjusted for additional clarity, but it is still the same pool from the core book. And more. You’ll just have to check out the document yourself! Remember, Gaining Grounds has always ever been a guide. Nothing in it should be used as absolutes. The document should be treated as a way to make creating and conducting events a painless process for our organizers, but we understand that each community is different, and each organizer prefers to treat their events differently. So… why “Season Zero” and not “Season One”? We’ll be coming out with a Season One that will act as the first big Gaining Grounds in a few short months. Season Zero is setting the groundwork so that expectations are clear and so that TOs have something to utilize in the meantime. You can download the PDF by clicking on this link or by checking it out on our Resources section. The updated Strats and Schemes will be coming to the Malifaux Crew Builder App shortly. And for our TOS players, rest assured that an updated Fields of Glory document (with new Operations!) is also in the works. That’s it from us. See you next week!
  25. Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo told us that he wanted to participate in some human Halloween traditions, so we suggested something simple: bobbing for apples. Lo and behold, the next day we arrived at work, our parking spaces were taken up with an above-ground pool. While some of us initially thought that he outdid himself, we were all collectively horrified when we saw corpses floating in the water. With a mouthful of candy, Waldo pointed at each and every one of us and shouted, “Whatcha waiting for? Get in there, you appholes!” So while we explain (and clean up) this horrible miscommunication, let’s take a look at a brand new One Shot for Through the Breach: Bubbling Up From Below! In Bubbling Up From Below, the Fated find themselves in a seedy saloon in the Bayou (then again, which pub in the swamp isn’t seedy?). After a few drinks and strange looks from the locals, they’re offered a rare opportunity that is too strange to resist. Like most offers from strangers, this one ends up being too good to be true. What the players don’t know is that something dark lingers out there in the swamp, seeping into the water itself… but the only way to find out just how bad things get is to scoop it up and play it yourselves. Gather your friends around the table, dim the lights, and tempt Fate itself in this spooky adventure, because it’s time we find out exactly what’s Bubbling Up From Below! To download this Through the Breach One Shot, visit DriveThruRPG here. It’s only five bucks! That’s not the only thing you’ll find available digitally this week. If you’re a veteran player who prefers to put the classic female Hog Whisperer or Miss Demeanor (the alt Convict Gunslinger from a few years back), the M3E stat cards are now available on WargameVault and will go live on the app soon. If that’s not enough of a treat for you this season, make sure to get your submissions in for the Rotten Harvest Painting contest for a chance to win up to $150 in webstore credit! Time’s running out, so get those creepy models painted and posted! That’s it from us. See you next week!
